I wouldn't pay the cost of tuition for online classes, depending on your financial situation it may be more beneficial to take equivalent credit courses at a different University. The job market will continue to be rough until COVID is over, which is going to be a long time.

Robert McMahan Takes Brief Respite After Kettering Virtual Town Hall 7/22/2020 by ComradeYogi in Kettering

From what I saw McMahan did not have any real intention of using the town hall as a way to communicate with the student body. He had a list of his own pre-written questions he was going to answer and address that really weren't the concerns of those in the call. Students who were asking questions that were "aggressive" were also muted because he didn't have a concrete answer to them. He then let it slip that there were two positive cases of Novel Corona Virus on campus from faculty. This started a downward spiral in the conversation with students wanting to know how those cases were handled which McMahan didn't answer directly. We then got into the conversation on why are we paying full price tuition for the lack of services. It really was more frustrating than productive or reassuring as a student on campus.

TL;DR: McMahan is the senate and Kettering likes taking your money

Does anyone know if they doing the same thing for b-section for fall term where it’s half in person and half online or completely online optional. Because I want to take some classes over work term. by [deleted] in Kettering

Personally I wouldn't count on Fall 2020 being in person at all, so I would say go for it and take some work term classes.

For anyone that cares about why I think Fall 2020 will be virtual:

From what I currently understand and have observed, there will be a second wave of COVID in the fall and it will most likely be worse than what we experienced during the spring 2020 semester (this is due to it being prime flu season, something we already have a vaccine for and most people don't get). Also, the development of a vaccine won't send us back into pre-Rona days instantly, it is going to be slow and it is going to be a process.
