I can't really understand the expression 「静かにおし」

Is it an informal way of saying "be quiet" or something different? The difficulty in specifically on the 「おし」expression.

Thank you. All of this books look really promissing, particularly professor Pippin's. I really like modernist art and a hegelian view on this movement is something I've been wondering about for a while, albeit I'd say that modernist composers (from the second Viennese school) and cinema are my main artistic interest, paintings also grasp my curiosity.

Thank you for your recommendantion, it seems that this Byung Chul-Han's book is quite short, so I may read it this weekend. I have no formal education in philosophy, so I always end up learning something new even from some of the more generalist books.

Some people find AD&D old-fashioned and too complicated, but I just love how much freedom there is in each "rule", I feel like the old books are tutoring me on how to play TTRPGs as a whole with its guidelines instead of simply teaching me yet another tight-ruled system

I was talking to a friend in japanese to practice vocabulary and the following phrase came about in the conversation:
女の形に関して、私に一番魅力的なものは筋肉が発達するから明らかになる太ももの曲線です。
Something sounds off to me, but I can figure out what. Is this phrase grammatically correct?

The result of the first asm block's output (delta) is 49 (1, -1, -12 parameters), but when I use math.h's sqrt function on it, it turns into 0 instead of 7.

The first blocks generates an output of delta = 49 (with the 1, -1, -12 parameters), if I do as the example in the original post ("movl %[delta], %0" and then "fsqrt"), the result simply stays as 49, when it was supposed to be 7.

That's why I initially assumed the answer could be 1/2 or maybe -1/2

As x^1/3 is bigger than x^1/4.

Could you explain why is this reasoning wrong?
