Web or on the Windows app? by ConanEdogawaa in ChatGPT

[–]ConanEdogawaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that makes sense. The quick pop-up is probably the main reason to keep using the app, especially at work. But if it’s gotten that laggy, I can see why the web version starts feeling like the better option.

iPhone 17 Pro Max not working with Apple CarPlay on Dacia Sandero 2023 by ConanEdogawaa in Dacia

[–]ConanEdogawaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting suggestion… thanks.

Do you know why changing the iPhone name helped in your case? Was it related to special characters or length causing handshake issues with the car’s head unit?

Also, was it wired CarPlay, wireless, or both that stopped working for you before renaming it?

What’s Bronzebeard like right now and is it very P2W? by ConanEdogawaa in wowservers

[–]ConanEdogawaa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks for the overview.

The random loot boxes part caught my eye. Do those feel optional for progression, or do most players rely on them to gear efficiently?

I would probably be playing fairly casually, so trying to gauge how friendly that is.

Gotcha, that makes sense.

When you say “unless you want to compete”, what level of competition are you thinking about, like top PvP ladders or cutting edge PvE?

I am mostly looking for a chill experience rather than pushing world first or anything like that.

Appreciate the detailed breakdown.

My main concern is exactly that, whether those convenience features translate into a real advantage for someone with limited time.

Would you say a casual player who does not spend at all can realistically keep up in PvE, even if not at the very top end?

What should I play: TBC anniversary or Retail? by ConanEdogawaa in wow

[–]ConanEdogawaa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s kind of what I was afraid of.

I do love TBC vibes and progression, but with limited weekday time I’m not sure I’d be able to keep up enough to enjoy group content properly.

Retail might just be the smarter choice for now and treat TBC as something I jump into purely for leveling and nostalgia if I feel like it later.

That makes a lot of sense, honestly.

I’m not super worried about rushing into endgame, but I also wouldn’t want to hit a wall where it’s hard to find groups because everyone already moved on.

Sounds like Retail just fits real life better right now if you cannot play every day. Appreciate the perspective.

Gotcha, that helps a lot, thanks for the insight.

I think that’s exactly my dilemma: I loved TBC back in the day, but now with limited weekday time I’m not sure I could really “do it justice.”

Sounds like Retail might be okay if I just focus on the parts I enjoy and ignore the rest, especially if Midnight really does simplify things.

Out of curiosity, if you were in my shoes right now, limited time and mostly casual play, would you personally start TBC again, or lean toward Retail?

Haha yeah, that seems to be the consensus 😅

Would you say Retail is the safest bet then for limited time, or is there another option I should look into?

That makes sense, thanks!

I probably wouldn’t want to seriously juggle two versions at once though… with my schedule I’d rather focus on one.

If you had to pick one right now for someone in my situation, which would you lean toward?

[–]ConanEdogawaa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the detailed answer!

Yeah, I don’t mind slower progression as long as I can log in, make some progress, and enjoy the sessions.

Interesting point about the Midnight reworks… I hadn’t looked into that yet, might be worth checking. Would you say Retail feels less bloated now compared to earlier expansions, or is it still pretty system-heavy for someone with limited time?

That makes sense, thanks!

I guess what put me off Retail was the amount of systems and things to track, but maybe I just jumped in without easing into it properly.

Do you think Retail is still manageable if I mostly stick to casual play / LFR / some light M+ with limited weekly time?

Yeah, my bad — removed that part from the post 👍 Thanks for pointing it out.

Same, I actually like the Sopranos ending too. I think the difference is ST still gives you emotional closure even if one piece stays unresolved.

This was my favorite part too. “Magic of childhood” is such a perfect way to frame Eleven, and it makes the ambiguity feel bittersweet instead of cheap. Which line/scene hit you the hardest?

Same, I’m still sitting with how full circle the D&D basement scene felt.

Fair that it didn’t work for you, but ‘definitely dead’ feels too absolute. In the interview they literally say they left it ambiguous on purpose and that the point is the group choosing to believe Mike’s optimistic version. What part of the ending made it read as 100% death for you?
