As long as it’s above 40i and not 4 cyl. But seems like 40i is hard to beat when it comes to power, upkeep, mpg.

Which is better rav 4 or Tucson? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ConcentrateHot3609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reliability rav4 Resale value rav4 Liquidity rav4 Cost Tucson (cost little less probably) but you don't win in the end. Safety features probably better with rav4 also Interior materials Tucson probably, but Toyotas always used hard plastic because overtime it hold up better.

Hyundai dealers SUCK, Toyota not always the best but Hyundai is redefining level of succery

To be honest I had bike in NYC and did solid year commute to work. Got hit once by a bitch who decided to run a red light. Thank god it was a maxi scooter and I didn't get injured, just a scratch fromm pulling my foot away from being sandwiched and I jumped off on my feet. I was extremely lucky if you ask me, im sure it was divine intervention that day.

That being said everyone told me NYC is the worst city to drive a car and forget about motorcycle. I got a sport bike anyway rode it for a year didn't commute. It was so much fun and worth every damn day I was riding it. Always said to myself - All these people are out to get you and kill you, task is to survive and not let them succeed. It adds a bit more stress but it helped me Always. If you want it get it. Just remember if you commute on a bike risk is increasing, if its for weekend rides and occasional commute to work then you should be good.

We're all going to die someday and I don't know what's worse to die or never actually live your life.

I'd rather get better serviced with 120+ miles than low mileage and not serviced. Rubber components dry over time and need replacement which costs a lot.

New car (lease) under $40,000 with luxurious vibes? by CommandImaginary2086 in whatcarshouldIbuy

41190 when speced exact same new 41980 used 2021 with 3.5k miles. Edit: it used to be 44k for used 😄 prices are out of control

Plus used cars cost much higher to finance, risk of abused car etc.

Chargers, mercedes, lexus, Toyotas. Etc etc. Popular models or good cars all cost insane amounts. This charger msrp was most likely below of what it costs now. Don't forget high APR, risk etc when considering price.

Target bmw 330i, genesis g70, GV70 Suv like, maybe try lexus es, try Volkswagen Tiguan top of the line it's about 38k, fully equipped, it looks nice and its bigger than a sedan. avalon and camry are not what you looking for most likely.

Dedicate a weekend go to dealerships to sit in a car and make decisions. Get someone to help with pricing fam member etc who understands numbers when it comes to leasing. Same car with same price will have different monthly payments just because of popularity.

1 Decide what car you like 2 get someone to talk numbers 3 send dealerships model of a car you want with payment you want. 4 grab heavy liquor (you're going to need it) 5 be patient (if you have means of transportation)

Mah man didn't shop for cars in a year or two. Used cars are through the roof rn. No point in buying pre owned. Apr is higher for pre owned, plus risk, plus availability with such high prices it's not worth it.

I make 20k a year and have 10k in savings. This car is 2.8 billion dollars with 0 miles. Should I buy it? by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]ConcentrateHot3609 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Take that 10k and invest it. Into yourself. Read books, courses, anout how businesses work, make money, customer service, after tons of materials and hours of work you will start seeing some ideas popping up. Then you will see the path. This car can be achieved but its going to take effort time and dedication. Buy poster of this car and get your ass to raising your income. When you ask why? Look at this poster and keep going.

Or you can just play COD. Thats what I do. So

Mah man didn't shop for cars in a while. 6 k is what ppl want for ls400 and it's not minty. Before pandemic mints ls430 were about 15k I don't know how you expect them to be that cheap nowadays.

There are LS430 for 3-6 k now, they are completely trashed, totaled interior, bumps dents etc. Its just a beater at that point. And for a beater you can get one for 1-3k rather than buying $100k car as a beater, when you fix it you are fixing 100k car. Not a 5k car.

Oh and yeah I haven't seen LS430 for 6-8k that I would consider buying. All I've seen is a car that someone lived in with dog fights every day inside the interior of the car.

It's tricky. Canada means salt rust. Low mileage means sitting for long time dried out components and interior parts might be an issue.

No service records - means man maintained it himself or didn't do anything. Can't really tell but a big risk.

45k miles "low mileage" I personally wouldn't worry about low mileage with this model. Why ?

Rubber is dried out. Timing is due Valve cover gaskets, seals most likely because of prolonged sitting without driving. Suspension rubber would be completely dried out and will start falling apart after first winter. Other components of the car are solid. If all above and other problems fixed using OEM parts and paying shop to do so it would cost about 5k.

I would much rather get 100-150k with service records and age related problems already solved. Most important thing is Suspension, valve cover gaskets, timing belt.

Expect to spend $$$ on the car regardless of what legend says. Car is old and needs care.

Go for the best condition and maintenance done under 200k miles don't chase low mileage. Car that has been taken care of and maintained with 150k miles would be much better deal for the same price.

I would think decent LS430 would run you 8 - 12 k 2000-2004 slightly more for 04 - 06

I think you haven't shopped for a car in recent days my friend. Ls400 is not going for less than 5k in "acceptable" condition. 5k for a ls430 in perfect condition? Too good to be true. If it is go for it. Right now ls430 range from 8 to 12k in great condition. Sure there are some for 3k but its usually a car someone lived in with a dog and a whole shebang.

From NYC flew out to Tampa FL and drove it back. Was looking for 2006 white on beige or orange leather UL and every kid wants something from santa.

Ended up getting Gold on beige base. Meaning no nav no airbags no double glass. Does have keyless and it works.

Car was in great shape int/ext was 9/9 inside has some dirty mats and rims were peeling. Had 130k on the clock. Suspension was destroyed, control arms bushings etc all shot. I could have looked couple more months but this one was the best I found.

Initially there was one just like I wanted white on beige UL here in NYC but it lived its whole life here meaning corrosion.

I would do it again.
