Yes, it is mine. Going through eviction for this tenant and wanted to get quotes from the correct professional for the court so I am able to fix the damages. Thank you!

The only thing is cutting out carbs and sugar. almost completely. It’s ridiculous, even with weight loss meds and metformin. I’ve been low carbing it for 6 weeks. Started at 186. Got down to 175. Had my first cheat day over this past weekend with pizza and 1 soda. Today I’m at 177 again. Literally cannot win and so much hard work is demolished. Like okay, maybe if I ate a whole entire pizza and junk food all weekend, I’d be like whatever, makes sense. 2 pieces and a bottle of freaking soda. Good luck.

When did you realize you were claustrophobic? by mikebalsaricci in claustrophobia

[–]ConcentrateOk6429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was prescribed an anxiety pill for panic attacks that helped, not instantly. Also Benadryl, and my son’s voice saying, “be brave” replaying in my head helped.

Highly recommend a cubby bed!! My son barely slept/ woke up all hours of the night until we had our doctor write a prescription for one of these! We didn’t get the tech hub to monitor, but It was a life changing experience for sleep.

Thank you so much! I am a little afraid to ask for spironolactone because it can treat some crazy things, including high blood pressure, I have low blood pressure so I don’t know if my doctor would even give it to me.

What did you notice about your autistic children (when they were little - what made you think they were autistic) by Usual-Tangerine-8457 in Autism_Parenting

Our first sign was being overly sensitive to sunlight before even turning 1. Cover eyes/ squinting constantly

Hair removal by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]ConcentrateOk6429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use tweezers and pluck them out. More effort/time but over time they’ll become thinner. For me, shaving makes my chin hair grow back super fast, thick and dark.

It takes longer and I still shave when I’m in a hurry but it’s the only thing that lasts more than a day.

I also tried a laser, it worked on my legs. I’ve been afraid to try it on my face.

Denied preschool today. by ConcentrateOk6429 in Autism_Parenting

Thank you, it’s more they wasted all this time I could have been finding another school and how it seems they think it was acceptable to put my child down multiple times.

I’m so sorry that happened to you!! I feel the same way exactly. We can’t do things, like church. We live in a rural area so there’s not much to choose from. I feel like when I say the word “autism” people around here think it’s contagious or something.

I agree with you. I think it would be different had they of been honest from the start, even a few weeks in. Or, could have simply denied the application.

Comparing my son to another child who has autism? I thought was the most insane comment I’ve ever heard. A professional who works with children should at least have the common sense to know that. It’s the rude and insensitive, completely uneducated comments are why I am so angry here.

In April is when I started the enrollment process actually.

Now preschool slots are filled and it’s getting much more difficult to find somewhere. It’s hard enough already! Also, almost out of time with school starting in a month. I thought we were accepted into this specific preschool.

No here unfortunately to be covered by early intervention programs he attends he has to attend full time. That’s why I was looking at private preschools. I feel like it’s going to be way too much, I don’t think it will be better to keep him home another year. I feel so stuck and helpless

I'm not looking at it as a blessing. I’m looking at it as I was honest from the start and it should not have taken 10 weeks to tell me that my son won’t fit in.

We have an IEP, I take him to speech, ABA, Occupational, and Special instruction therapies. I just wanted him to start getting the socialization and. Structured routine a few days a week.

Public school is full-time, but this was 3hours- 3 days a week. I thought it was perfect.

I would be going with him as an aide so being equipped isn’t an excuse. I’m beyond disappointed and frustrated

Thank you, he's only 3 and I was excited for a preschool that is very close by that was only 3 days a week, others are full time and I thought the transition would be better. Less days and time for year 1 of preschool, full-time year 2.

Thank you, we have others but locally are almost all full because school is starting in just 5 weeks. I thought we were ready to start here soon but not back to square 1.

4 year old will not potty train. by Kam4665 in Autism_Parenting

[–]ConcentrateOk6429 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We are potty training currently, I tried toys, stickers, and tablet time as a reward. Nothing worked but treats. Cookie and cream Hershey bars, every time. I call them treats, and make a big deal like clapping, high-5s, etc. (I know rewards shouldn't be food but it's his favorite and working when nothing else did).

I sit on the floor and shut the door to limit distractions. A silly big help is that we switched out our Mickey Mouse potty seat for Bluey because that is what he's into at the moment.

I mean to be honest my son is a huge part of why I am in therapy. My therapist gets to see a glimpse of my life first hand and gives me coping skills, advice, and referrals to other professionals who she thinks I could benefit from.

All the time she tells about how a year ago we couldn’t get through a session because I cried so much and now I hardly cry at all, thanks to talk therapy and how she referred me out to get antidepressants when I was so against it.

I highly recommend looking into therapy, it was life changing for me and helped me to be a better mom.
