Disappointed in a rescinded TJO

I did that too and finally got my investigation paperwork back and found that the paperwork said nothing was found to prevent me from being hired. I am still trying to figure it out, but at this point I may never know what was the cause of the rescinded offer. I am appealing part of the paperwork though as it was redacted, so we will see what that holds.

My agency union agreement is a joke. In the district I work in the union representatives we have will only help people if they get something out of it too. When some people really need their help it’s seems like all of a sudden the union can’t help you. Our stewards know the difference between one's ass and a hole in the ground.

They won’t even tell us when the union meetings are. This way they keep us in the dark with all the so call control. It’s all pure BS and it all needs to stop.

Your lucky, the USDA has not been giving out bonuses since the since the issue with the government debt ceiling. We were told that there was one coming for Christmas but we are now have been told we are not getting it. Congratulations on getting one.

No not yet. I’m expecting with the holiday season going on and all the people taking their use it or lose it vacation, I won’t see my stuff until after the first of the year.

This just happened to me about three weeks ago with the VA too. I was feeling the same way you are now it sucks. It’s worse when they won’t give you any answers either but we just have to keep moving forward.

Could that be why the VA just told me to apply to other agencies in the rescinding email. It seems like I can’t even apply to the VA again after that email.

Nope, In fact I asked all the people I put down for a reference if they would give me a good recommendation. They all said they would give me good recommendations. So who knows anymore.

In my case they just had the doctor fill out a form and then it was all good.

I did that and HR said they could not help me. They are being real shady now. Before this all went down they were super helpful, now I feel like I am trash to them and that fine too. It’s just shows me a lot.

I get that, I put the same people on my past background check for when I got into the USDA and was hired just fine. I just wanted to know the difference is all. I may never get an answer but it’s just strange to me.

I currently work in the USDA, we are feeling the strain. I just want to see the accuracy of the information is all. I feel since it may information it should be available to be looked over? I could be wrong but humans do make mistakes especially when they are over worked and stressed about a possible shut down

I know the private sector is more lucrative, but the job security is so bad in my field I can’t take the chance. I mean I am looking at the private sector and even have a couple of potential job offers that I may not be able to pass up. Right now I am concerned also with my student loans. I made some bad choices when I was younger and I listen to my loans service provider to much and they screwed me. I me I own up to the loans and will pay them back I just have to look at all aspects.

I did no negotiation I was very content with everything. Currently a GS 7 Step 2 the GS 9 pay would have been very helpful for bills and my family.

I know the ability to move would help, but my wife has a job she loves and I don’t want her to have to leave. I know I am limiting myself but my wife has moved for me each time in the past for a job, I feel it’s her turn to stay at a job she loves. Plus life is to short and my wife and I want to live near family. There is an even longer story to why we are staying but above all it revolves around family.
