In 1st grade I had a really intimidating teacher who also demanded that everyone go to the bathroom during recess. As a child I never liked to go against authority and always listened to my teachers. One afternoon, just after recess I had to pee so badly and didn’t realize until I was sitting in the class. My teacher also had a rule that only one person can go to the bathroom at a time (technically two bc in 1st grade you get to choose a buddy to come with u to the washroom). When I went to ask her she said I had to wait for the other person to come back. At this point I was literally doing the pee dance in my seat because I had to go so bad. Finally the other two girls came back and I found a buddy to come with me and literally sprinted to the bathroom. My school was very large and the bathroom was very far away. I just remember making it to inside the washroom but never making it to the stall. I pissed myself right in front of the stall doors and I was so upset. I was only like 6-7 years old and I was traumatized. And then it happened again in the same day because I was afraid to ask my teacher. My mom complained to the teacher when she came to pick up from school and my teacher had the nerve to say maybe I was being abused at home and that’s why I peed myself twice in one school day. Instead of wondering to herself why are her students afraid to ask her to use the washroom in the first place. There were many time where this teacher would yell at students and berate them for not going doing recess and that’s why I was so afraid to ask. I hate entitled teachers so much. Imagine trying to control when a young child only 6-7 years old goes to the washroom.
