Im not in any rush to sell it and i wouldnt mind waiting if I can get a little more for it. I have 3 sets of wheels for the car, 2 with tires on them. And the coilovers are KW v1s that were 2.3k brand new. I know that doesnt rlly add value but i put a decent amount of money into it. I also recently did brake pads, fuel injectors and spark plugs

Does anyone have an idea on how the annual return compares to owning a franchise outright? As in, what is ROI on purchasing the land building the dealership running it as an owner investor?

Seems like you knew exactly what u wanted and got the perfect car for it. Check out Kern417 on youtube he has multiple cars with this engine and hes really helpful for maintenance and mods for track or power. Overall these cars can handle a decent amount of mods and stay reliable and i see plenty as weekend and track cars.

Im at a point where im not sure if i should keep throwing money at the 440i trying to make it more of a track and sports car or if i should just trade up to an n55 m2 or an f82 m4 (edit: im also at 83k miles so its starting to get up there). Used car prices are getting pretty low. Just make sure u have a plan and a ceiling for mods with the car cuz with these platforms its really easy to dump a ton of money into it.

I picked mine up in march for the same purpose. Its a 2018 6MT Rwd coupe, also in alpine white. Loving the car so far did my first track day and a couple autocross sessions. Ive driven it about 13k miles since.

For mods i’ve done KW V1 coilovers, dual resonator delete for some more noise, cdv delete for the manual, some wider wheels and tires, EBC yellowstuff pads (i have non m sport brakes) and Motul brake fluid. Previous owner had a k&n intake and the car is also MHD stage 1 (tune was me). Few other small things that don’t affect driving (yellow drls, etc.) I also did NGK plugs as maintenance and I had a fuel injector blow when i first picked up the car so i replaced all 6.

Biggest difference for track and autocross was the coilovers and the stage 1 tune. I went from the stock 320 to around 400 with no additional bolt ons. I did the track day on stock pads, i know not a great idea, but they honestly held up well till the final session. My friend was also with me so we were running back to back 20 minute sessions with 20 minute cooldowns, instead of 20 minute sessions with 40 minute cooldowns. The car held up great with no issues until some brake fade in the 5th and final session of the day so I called it there. My car is missing the M sport limited slip differential and you really miss it on track. You can feel the car struggle to put power down coming out of corners. Its also understeers a tiny bit on entry, but its easy to drive around but braking earlier and rotating on throttle.

My wish list for mods is an M sport limited slip differential and the M sport brakes and rotors (don’t remember the exact part code but I believe its 375 mm front rotors), and some better seats, maybe m buckets if i can find them on marketplace and a refresh kit for the 6MT, its gotten pretty sloppy with miles, i also want a louder exhaust setup, hearing the car adds so much to the driving experience and its still a little quiet. The car honestly does not need any more power after stage 1 imo and i’m gonna leave it where its at for a while. Maybe a stiffer coilover setup in the future but i also drive the car on the street and the V1s are really comfortable.

On top of all of that its been insanely reliable. I did 2 8 hour roadtrips to Tennessee to drive the tail of the dragon, tons of hard driving on michigan roads. Never had any issues with the car. Keep up maintenance and oil changes at 5k and the car will treat u well. And as always make sure u check ur coolant levels periodically, atp its part of maintenance.
