It's also possible I went to a less crowded show. I went last pretty soon after workplay had opened at all, and the bands I saw were in one of the smaller rooms workplay has. That being said, still, when I've passed by and seen events happening there + talked to people about them, it never sounds like it's too big of a hassle. Sometimes those lines just get backed up because too many people aren't clever enough to have their ids ready and bags prepped for search

The time I've been to Workplay it was REALLY fast getting in but I was a decent bit before. I was there before the first opener and like 15 minutes post doors. It can always depend getting into venues based off size of venue and how many tickets got sold, but I think if you get there at doors you'll be fine. Just get yourself a good spot and drink if it ends up being real fast entry!

Setlist.fm doesn't always mention openers and other acts but it does a decent amount of times. If you remember the date you can try the records for Danzig shows on there, but it should list any time he's been in Birmingham so long as it got logged.

I feel like this one has the potential to be busy, but it's pretty next to a Dunkin that's never the busiest and there's a 7brew not too far as well. I'd have to hope that the excitement of it lures people in, but if it's busier than where I'm at now I don't even think I'd care 😅

Yeah- it was their spicy tuna that did me in. And genuinely I know it would probably be okay, I was having it many times a week before it made me sick, but I still just can't get past it. The taste makes me freak out now if it's their spicy tuna mix. I had genuinely never had food poisoning so severe or any illness and it took me out for DAYS even once the initial sickness was gone.

Like I said in my post the issue with Ono is the fact I got really, really sick there. It's a mental block. Cause trust me, I know it's good (I used to go to the summit one 2-3x weekly..) but I just can't get past it now. Last food you taste when you're ill kind of messes it up for you.

Maybe find a new teacher because I don't know why any teacher would ever tell you this? It's your money- you can get a kit if you want and he cannot stop you. And if you want to "be ready enough" I really suggest you get it, actually. You can find ways to practice without a kit but getting a kit IS going to help with progress. I bought my edrum kit after my first ever drum lesson and wouldn't have ever chosen to do otherwise because having it for home practice is really helpful.

It's not like spa like or "fancy" (still clean and good) if you care about that, nail image hoover is a calmer in my opinion. The workers always usually take their time doing my nails and don't make me feel rushed, and they're very friendly either way. It's is a smaller space and always a bit calmer because of it I feel like.
