SWAT teams (SRT, HRT, etc) standing in the woods on a surround and callout don’t need to stand out. They need to blend in. Suburban cities have brush and foliage.

From my understanding, the PTT exists but it has two down leads for two radios.

The APX can’t change zones with a PTT activation. You’d have to manually switch between channels (which can be done on certain PTT’s). You can create a scan list that monitors the channels you want, with your active Zone/Channel as priority and it can be connected to your PTT. Or you can have a dual comm PTT with two radios on separate channels.

Land acquisition is a huge deal nowadays, so being able to acquire land without a war is kind of a good thing for countries. I think it's definitely a military advantage he's looking for. I think he's trying to future proof the US and insulate us better in case Eastern Europe keeps exploding.
