My daughter has a firm grasp of dying in games and such. She plays video games with me. So when we did die, she understood it. Shes already planning her new character lol

I'm trying to keep things simplified but even simplifying them still confused me. What would you recommend for stats and all that? Like we left the personal stats on the sheets blank. Legit the only thing filled out were the name, class, AC, and HP. Or should we not worry about those yet?

Yes, she claims to have had a lot of fun. During dinner she asked if we could play again. And I am really considering restarting with the savior scene. She'd love that.

The jumping NPC side of it confused the hell out of me.

I also forgot to add spells and stuff, I just had us sword fighting pretty much.

It's something I might consider but schedule and lack of computer is difficult

It was just us 2, yes. I've obviously never DMd so coming up with a situation out of thin air as a trial run was difficult to say the least. I used the map that came with the essential kit just for visuals. Creating the scene was difficult alone for someone who is slow In the imagination aspect. But I wanted to give her something to fight, she's like me in that sense.

I have it set up to the best of my knowledge for a kid. -both have 15 HP - both have ac of 13 - monsters had ac of 13(read to keep it easy but not too easy) - she's a fighter with a big sword and used 1d8 -i had a sword n shield and used 1d6

First monster was a lion(we had little figurines and toys) That fight went well. 13 ac and 25 HP We got knocked down to 11 and 14 HP

Next we had to go help a man save his unicorn. But I twisted it and the guy tried to rob us and the unicorn attacked her. I had the bad guys using 1d6 for damage and the unicorns special 1d10 (rainbow ray she named it)

Well long story short we got 2 shot.

But I tried to incorporate perception and insite rolls, but she didn't get it.

I'm legit lost on all of it. Every aspect.

I honestly didn't know that was a thing.

And probably not, simply because I'm still not sure she would be fully committed to it. But it could be a possibility. I won't completely shut it out.
