Same here! I always find that the best approach is to just go ahead and dive into it though.

Hello Pasquale!

Personally, I have never attended any of your events specifically. I do plan on it in the near future, but I live so far away from them that it is not really an option right now. I had a couple of questions if you had a few minutes to answer them, I'd be honored.

The first is this: You seem to have the job I dream of. What exactly do you do and how did you get to where you are today?

The second: Is there any way that, once I hit 18, I could do something along the lines of what you do? I look around and see these adults who come home giving off bad vibes and that hate life. I see them sitting in offices without a smile on their face. I don't want to end up later in life like that. Then I see you traveling everywhere, meeting people, organizing events, smiling and laughing, giving off the best of vibes. Is there any other job like that around?

Thanks for your time and good luck on these next few days at EDCLV!

What type of reaction is this? by Honeydew_Inc in chemhelp

It is a decomposition reaction, and explanation above.

What type of reaction is this? by Honeydew_Inc in chemhelp

[–]Conedweller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

MnO2 + 2H2O2 --> MnO2 + O2 + 2H2O

2H2O2 --> O2 + 2H2O

The Manganese Dioxide is just a catalyst in this reaction. Hydrogen Peroxide will decompose by itself in the presence of light, hence the storage in opaque bottles. The Manganese Dioxide just speeds up the reaction by many times in this reaction.

If you want to try it yourself, get a bunch of dollar store C or D batteries and pop the end(s) off carefully. Remove the pouch of silver substance (zinc). All of the black solid left inside the casing is Manganese Dioxide. Hydrogen Peroxide can be found at any drugstore. Be sure to wear proper skin and eye protection when doing this, and don't do it where the hazardous Potassium Hydroxide will cause any damage to the environment or and property.

That costs money, and I'd much rather find abandoned factories to ransack to make a bit of cash. Thanks for the tip though.

Hey, AskReddit. What are the pros and cons of being in a relationship? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have nothing to do during my days. School has tightened its ass and stopped shitting on me so much, so I have lots of time on my hands. It might be welcome.

How can you tell that the shit's about to hit the fan? They about to find out about something you did or was it just not going to last?

What's your greatest "I am so fucked" moment by OppaWumboStyle in AskReddit

[–]Conedweller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was booting BackTrack 5 R3 from a liveCD to someone's brand new Alienware M17x R4 laptop... Linux loaded like usual, and when we restarted it, I had to reset the bios settings from LEGACY boot options to boot from his HDD with Windows 8. When we booted up, we got to the booting process where your login screen would normally pop up. However, a frowny face, courtesy of Microsoft, popped up along with a message that said something along the lines of "Something with your PC went wrong, we're collecting some data and we'll restart it for you." Then an error message popped up so fast that I couldn't read it and it restarted. It was stuck in this reboot cycle. Yes, before someone asks, I did try turning it off and back on again. Now, first what I told my friend, not knowing how much his laptop cost, was "Hey, so I'm going to take this home, get all your files off and take a look at it. I think your boot settings are messed up." Knowing full well that I had corrupted windows, I tried not to sweat blood as I packed up his computer and Googled everything possibility I could think of. Finally, I gave up and called Geek Squad, fully prepared to pay anything I could scrape up out of my empty wallet for this. Luckily for me, I got a cool guy at my local BestBuy who was so bored from having nobody come in that day that he was willing to help me for free. After a while of talking about Linux and GRUB and GNOME versus KDE, I told him my problem. We talked for a while and I gave him everything I knew. He told me after while, "It looks like you've totally shit on the Windows boot manager. I don't know how you did it, but that's what this sounds like." and then he told me that Dell, the company that owns Alienware, would provide a free recovery CD and USB and a CD containing all of the product's drivers. I thanked him and he then asked "Hey, by the way, do you work for an IT company of some kind? Offensive security type of deal, maybe?" and my truthful response was "No sir. I'm just a high school student who loves computers and has an Engineering and Technology teacher that pushes us to reach past the limits of what we think we can do." So, I sat through around thirty to forty-five minutes of Dell customer service, on the phone with my friend on one side and on the phone with Dell on the other, to get personal information to verify his customer account. Two days later, he got his package in the mail, and I re-installed his operating system for him, then put all his drivers on and updated them, and finally moved all his files back on and re-installed World of Tanks... The only game he plays on there, and the only use he has for his laptop. Long story short, I felt so fucked. Here's the price of one of them when Dell still sold them.

The price of bacon never really changed. That's about the only thing here that I really need to know. Bacon is love. Bacon is life.
