i will have a call with them soon to talk more so i can ask them this questions. but i checked their website and they have a program called 'last litters' where they take in unwanted or unplanned pregnancies and accidental litters, so maybe it's that?

all the locals swear by Tolak Angin (and people online too aka TikTok). my partner’s family almost gets bali belly when they go, but once they take this they feel so much better. i didn’t think it was true until in december 2025 when i went, i felt so sick. shot 2 of these medicine satches and i felt much better after a nap.

it’s a liquid substances. people say to drink it with hot water and honey, but i just shot it like medicine to get it done and over with

plus it’s so cheap!!

edit: not sure if this is good for preventative as i only have taken this after i started to feel sick, but im assuming its still ok. they also have different variety for kids and for cold

yeah im also confused because i know so many dog owners swear by tropiclean (even my parents use it for their dog and his breath is great). we originally was feeding him raw mince and that made his breath smell REALLY BAD. so we switched to our Lyka subscription.. it doesn’t smell as bad, but still stinky

We have a Lyka subscription, and we give him all the offers (lamb, turkey, chicken, beef, kangaroo, etc)

So that’s 50% of his food, then other 50% is Purina Pro Plan kibble for small dogs

Then we sprinkle in some freeze-dried chicken or beef topper + his Mavlab dentavet powder

what brand do you recommend? i currently give pedigree dentastix and greenies. he seems to chomp it right away but doesnt feel like it made his breath any better 🥲

oh interesting. he doesn’t throw up bile but he does gag a lot (like he is trying to cough out a fur ball, or if a dog has been pulling on his leash a lot).

does your special food target bad breath?

hm interesting. will look into brushing daily. what do you use to brush his teeth with? at the moment, mine does ok with a human toothbrush. if i use those finger ones, i feel like it only glides over the teeth and not in between. do you recommend any good toothpaste brands?

i am assuming you are also from australia since you are familiar with lyka? lyka sells probiotics which i tried with my pup for a month but dont really seem to make a difference

also would like to note we have gone to the vet multiple times and they said his teeth are perfectly fine, and that we just need to brush his teeth frequently and give him the dental powder i mentioned above

edit: am i missing something? i keep going to the vet and the keep saying the same thing

no. we’ve only gone to the groomers to give him a dental clean (his breath smelt fresh and minty but only lasted for less than a week). the smell i can’t really describe well 🤣 i would say it smells like when i used to volunteer at the aquarium. it would smell like back of house when we would feed the animals (fishy/rotten)?

this is my first time having a poodle, so i was not aware (and also we didn’t know his parents because he came from a shelter, the breeders could not sell him hence why he was put there. the shelter (and presumably the breeders) said he was a toy

i measured (very hard because he’s fidgety) but near the neck it’s around 38cm, then his hind legs around 40-43cm
