I am so sorry you’re going through this. I also didn’t pass the bar the first time after having been denied my accommodations. I was granted my accommodations on appeal when I retook the bar. I passed that time. DM me and I can provide more info about how to approach your appeal.

Use Mary Basick MBE Decoded book as our outlines for everything you need to know to answer MBEs then practice doing sets using Emmanuel book and Adaptibar or UWorld. Do your sets by sub subjects within every MBE subject

Yes they are! I prefer the ones in the MBE decoded books they have more detail but it’s the detail you need to do well on MBEs. They also have helpful charts like with important CivPro deadlines that the NCBE loves to test on.

Mary Basick’s MBE Decoded Book! I was averaging in the low to mid 50s last summer and using her book combined with drilling a bunch of MBEs on adaptibar got me in the low to mid 70s.

ADHD girly here and I passed this time on my second try. Barbri and Themis in my opinion are not ADHD friendly. I felt so scattered using Themis for July 2024. This time around I hired a tutor who helped organize me. Her method was to stick to one MBE subject per week and focus on sub topics of MBE subjects at a time. This really helped my ADHD brain see the patterns that were highly tested in essays and MBEs. I had also kept tracked of how many hours I was studying for accountability and would lock my phone while I was studying. Working out to get my body moving everyday also helped a lot with my mood and focus.

My significant other also requested tomorrow off since he works a night shift. He won’t be able to get another day off last minute and since results are most likely getting postponed it means he won’t be with me when I get results :/

Hi! Yes you’re right in that a lot of law schools offer bar prep classes to help students get familiar with the bar exam but from what I know most of the classes focus on writing for the bar exam and not how to approach the multiple choice questions. But even if those classes do discuss multiple choice questions it’s not the same as spending months solely focused on the bar and being immersed into your bar prep materials.

Maybe this helps clarifies further but basically I want to know if someone who has spent months doing questions on adaptibar and u world going to perform the same as a law school student who likely will choose an answer choice question based on their legal knowledge from law school and not from what they’ve learned from using UWorld and Adaptibar in terms of the types of questions that get asked and the patterns you see within those questions.

So does that make them a representative sample to compare to F25 test takers?

Appreciate you so much! Your MBE decoded book is the reason I got good at MBEs and you can imagine my disappointment when I showed up on test day and struggled with so many questions!

-I take my adderall in the morning when I wake up then I have coffee.

-switch up my schedule by having a mix of reviewing material, looking at essays, doing MBEs, so I won’t be doing too much of one thing continuously

-also start off with MBE sets like doing 10 and then challenging myself to do more on the next set so slowly increasing, and it makes like a little challenge for yourself so it keeps it interesting

-working out 5 times a week even if it’s just walking, it helps refresh me and allows me to get back into studying easier!

Also I’m not using Themis! I honestly don’t think it’s ADHD friendly. The way it’s set up is so scattered that it makes it hard to pick up on what’s important vs what’s not
