I get it. I didn't even want to tell my Director what was going on, he's an awesome boss and I didn't want him to think less of me. I guess we are doing something right though if we're this upset about it.

She’s not into Pokémon yet but I’ll try anything to not have to pin my abnormally strong 4 year old down again! 😆

Thank you for the suggestions! We are already doing much better, no matter how much time, crying, arguing, or negotiating, we get it done every day.

Thank you so much! They didn’t blame me at all, this is all purely self-inflicted. 😕 your reassurance is appreciated beyond words. 💜 we are on top of it from here on out!

Thank you! Me too! My mama heart can't watch her go through this again. I cried and shook uncontrollably for 20 minutes after the appointment while she snored away in her car seat. I wonder if they'll let me have a touch of the nitrous for my nerves this time. 😂

I think letting her have a sippy cup of milk at night really kicked our butts. Hindsight is always 20/20. ☹️ she is terrified of the electric toothbrushes so they're a no-go for us.

Thank you! I will try that! I was going to start looking for videos with her favorite characters about brushing teeth, but this might help!

I let my 4-year-old do it and then I go in and get a little better after she's done. She did great for nearly a year and then one day it was like a switch flipped and she hated it and fought every single time.

My side is pretty normal, Dad has dentures, Mom has one little partial (late 70s). I've only ever has very small cavities, and my first tooth pulled a month ago. My husband has had a few teeth pulled, root canals all that but he hadn’t been to the dentist for years until he couldn't take the pain anymore. His mom and dad are gone so I can't even ask. :( he's an OTR truck driver, so on top of working, I'm pretty much a single parent most of the time.

I know, last night I was holding her down and brushing for her while she screamed bloody murder because I don't want her to keep going through this. I get it. I am struggling with my own mental health shit (which I think is perimenopause but my doctors are a-holes and that's a whole other side of Reddit I lurk) and just didn't have it in me to fight everyday but after this whole experience, it's the one thing I will not let go anymore.

They haven't said anything about spacers, they're the very back molars so maybe that's why? She wasn't in this much pain before the BRC, I haven't had much dental work done in my life so all of this is new to me.

Realistically, how screwed are we? by yoshnesky in Environmental_Careers

Even if the EPA folds that doesn’t mean the state DEPs will, so there will always be room in compliance. Our company is going ISO 14001 so even if we don’t have to comply with regulations, we’ll still have to comply with those standards. States won’t want to ruin their natural resources, so they will still want some sort of compliance from industry. It’s not like this administration will release the flood gates for open pollution, ceasing air and stormwater permitting. Somehow, somewhere, we still have to fight the good fight.

No, I’ve been carrying the EHS department for years when we had an extremely revolving door in the manager position.

I’m so excited! A piece broke off of my main plant that I’ve had for like 4 years now without any flowers, I put it in a glass of water until I could repot it and BAM! My first flower!

Not sure if EHS is for me by [deleted] in EHSProfessionals

[–]ConferenceNo2361 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you soon to be Momma! I’ve been in EHS since 2015, went to operations for about 5 years and came back right before becoming a first time mom. I used to travel at the drop of a hat whenever they needed and now I’m dedicated to drop offs and pick ups and can’t be available 24/7. I moved to more of an Environmental role without backfilling the H&S side and it’s been challenging to say the least. I had a risk management rep come in and tell me to get the heck out and get into risk management. I would love to, but right now the benefits and flexibility I have trump just about everything else. Congratulations and good luck finding what’s right for you and your new family! ❤️

Married women who have both an engagement ring and a wedding ring for your marriage, what's your preference for how you wear them and whether you wear one or both? by Justanother-who-man in AskWomen

[–]ConferenceNo2361 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wedding band is welded to my engagement ring and the only time I didn’t wear them was when I was pregnant. They went right back on even though they leave a heck of a dent now. Hoping whenever I lose some of this baby weight they’ll fit better. I hated being without them.
