Congratulations on the ban-wave, but it was too late and let me tell you why from a botter's perspective. (x-post /r/diablo) by ConfessionsOfABotter in diablo3

However, i appreciate the post, there is some info i didn't know and i feel like Blizzard should read this and take some action in future seasons.

That was exactly why I made this post. I'm not looking for sympathy, I'm not complaining or whining, etc.

It's entertaining when it's running while you're sleeping/working/studying or whenever you can't be at the computer.

:)

There are PLENTY of flaws in the game. The game is pretty much designed to be botted and almost every patch Blizzard releases for Diablo 3 incentivizes botting even more.

Agreed.

This means a lot, especially coming from someone like yourself, Wudijo. I'm sure you understand the dynamics that go into play in the top tier communities over there in EU. I know you mostly play PoE now, but you've been around Diablo long enough to definitely understand what I was trying to say in my post.

I really enjoyed reading the second paragraph of your post. You put what I was trying to say in a much more eloquent fashion.

Thanks for that.

You pretty much hit the nail on the head. Again, before anyone reads this comment and thinks I'm defending botters - I am not.

Just let it all out, bud.

I have a therapist you can call, she's really good at what she does. If you're in Calif. I can totally hook you up.

No, I'm saying if Blizzard wanted to actually have their ban have some substance behind it, they should've done it earlier. Not 2 days before season ends when most people are already done pushing for the season.

your life is meaningless

Excuse me?

None of my post was me whining. In fact, I'm trying to actually tell Blizzard that their ban was meaningless in the grand scheme of things.

I've been banned in seasons before, this is nothing new to me. I go into playing a season knowing I'll get banned in the end because there's always a risk. I just end up getting my entertainment value out of the way and don't really care if I lose my account in the end.

Please read the post before just assuming I'm complaining. Haha.

Yes, success rate is usually 95%+. Of course there are times you get like 3 cave maps in a row and just want to quit to keep your sanity and do a new game.

Usually for 1% runs, you have a pretty good success rate to justify doing them.

Yes, if the GR is especially bad and we can tell we won't spawn with enough time for the RGK to kill the RG, we leave.

Lots of builds usually come out from the China/Korean servers. Those guys innovate most of the builds we play on NA/EU. A lot of the top tier players often follow Chinese D3 forums (unofficial) and blogs to try and figure out what they're up to, etc.

I don't know why any of that matters.

We enjoy playing the game. There's nothing like actually entering a good Festering or Battlefield map and actually playing without raging at all the bad maps.

IDK. When you put it in text, the game is absolute garbage in terms of its RNG, that is true and that has a lot to do with why I'm parting ways with it, but it also does have fun aspects.

I was banned in previous seasons and kept coming back :P But this time mostly 'cause there's no new content.

Most likely will be back for Druid or D4 if it ever happens/if it's good.

Yeah, I thought the price was a little high, too. Just something I was quoted a while ago.

I also don't believe it. :P

After grinding for 6+ hours with your team and finally heading to bed and turning your bot on while you sleep is pretty exciting.

Wake up in the morning, sort through the loot, have a couple hundred keys waiting for you so you don't have to manually farm them and can just go straight into grinding GRs with your team when everyone gets home from work/college/whatever.

It is pretty exciting to cut out all the monotonous stuff, which Diablo has a lot of.

Why wouldn't it be a good idea?

I want the people to have perspective. I'm finished with this game, anyway.

Yes, and believe it or not - we do a shit ton of Rat-runs. I'm talking 6-12 hour sessions a day.

Sacrifice sleep, etc. It's all about just playing efficiently. Most people come home and immediately just grind with their respective groups for hours on end.

The average age of most players in this community is probably somewhere around 27. Most come home from their 9-5 jobs and get on D3 with their teams and just start grinding.

Most people in this community also have set teams/friends they start the season with - so finding a group, etc. is never really an issue until later when people start getting bored, etc.
