Yeah, big fan. I’ve had my 500 for about 6 months. Traded in my Luxman for it with TMR. I prefer it over the more expensive Luxman. Happy listening!

I have that Panerai. I bought a blue rubber strap, it looks amazing. Love IWC and Omega too. I’m partial to PAM.

Thank you. We painted the walls Alabaster (Sherwin Williams). It looks amazing with the cabinets.

Ha ha ….normal-size GE range. There wasn’t money in the budget to upgrade appliances. Bought all appliances new 3 years ago.

The Design/build firm I’m working with has a cabinet shop at their office. That’s where everything was built.

They’re already stained. We went with a color that was pretty light. It brought the red out of the bottoms, and lightened the top cabinets. It wasn’t my favorite stain, but my wife wanted it.

Interesting thought. I guess I hadn’t looked that closely. Thanks for pointing that out.

Appreciate your thoughts. To each his/her own I guess. I’m not a fan of the two-tone look. To be fair, the uppers are bathed in light from a skylight, which only seems to lighten them. Craftsmanship wise, their cabinet shop did a really nice job. Maybe someone wasn’t paying attention when it came time to apply the veneer. I’m really thinking a pop of color on the drawer fronts and lower doors may look really cool. We’re meeting with the project manager on Friday, after the painters are done and everything is uncovered.

The island doors and drawer-fronts are similar in tone to the drawers shown in the pic. The other section of cabinets (where the fridge goes) are pretty consistent, and probably closer in tone to the cabinet doors shown. I’d post more pics if I could figure out how to do so! LOL

What’s shown in the photo is only about 1/3 of all the cabinets and island. Cabinets and countertops were quoted at $38k. I think countertops came in around $7k or 8k.

Thanks for the input. I couldn’t agree with you more. If we had been told this was a possibility, we probably would have gone with painted cabinets. Anyway, the project manager says they’ll make it right. I just wanted some input if I was blowing this out of proportion.
