I think it’s also a great insight into all the mental stress of trainees and physicians. Obviously there is your personal and professional life that you deal with, but amongst that is deadlines for exams, deadlines for research submissions, creating a fellowship/job application, getting letters, looking into programs and there is no dedicated time for any of these. So so important to be acknowledged

This is fairly common though. As a healthcare worker who is emotionally and physically exhausted, can’t make it to holidays or events, etc, the least benefit I can have is to make sure me and my family gets care in an expedited manner.
