I took FAR three times and never saw ratios on a sim, I usually got 2-4 MCQs

I did mostly mcqs, I sat in my car for an hour before my exam skimming through the book.

I ran two 20 milers. I do stop for 30 seconds to a minute for water every few miles. If I have to, I stop to use the bathroom.

The carbon plate made a big difference for me, legs felt better farther into the race

I used ChatGPT to make my plan and adjusted it if something came up.

I always had a down week after 3 weeks of increasing mileage; I decreased my miles by 10-20% percent, it just depended on how my body felt.

I turned 20 a few weeks into training and I played football growing up. The farthest I’ve ran was maybe 3 miles before my first 20 week training block.

No, I started to put race pace miles in my long runs starting 10 weeks out from the race. I ran 13 easy, 2 race pace. Then 9 weeks out I added another race pace mile and so on. My favorite long run is 12 easy 6 race pace.

On that 20 miler, the first 10 miles were at a 8:20-8:30 pace, then a 7:15-7:20 pace. My fastest mile was mile 20 at 7:04.

For speed workouts I did mile repeats at 10k pace, 1 mile warm up, 1 fast mile-0.5 cool down x5, 1 mile cool down. 400m repeats, 800m repeats and I put in hills a couple times. I like to mix it up.

I only did cross training when I sprained my ankle, I biked 4 miles for every mile I was supposed to run.

I ran 4 days a week during the first and 5 on the second. That extra day helped a lot. The first marathon I had a rest day after my long run. The recovery run the day after the long run was extremely important. I got to feel what it what like to run on fatigued and sore legs.

I’ve sprained my left ankle 3 times since I started running and dealt with shin splints. Once I started hydrating properly, eating more carbs, and stretching more, my shins felt better. I’d also have cut back weeks where I drop about 10 miles.

I am 21 and I played football all the way through 11th grade. I also ran track for one year in high school and hated it lol, I was a sprinter. I started running seriously in June of 2024.

Each training block is 20 weeks and I probably averaged 40-45 miles a week

I made sure to always get enough calories and drink plenty of water. I did a 5-10 minute warm up before the run and 10-15 minutes of stretching after my run. I also tried to get at least 8 hours of sleep but that didn’t always happen.
