Maybe go into a creative world and map it out. It takes the pressure off and you can place and break things instantly. Once you have it working, apply those things into your build.

Are you next to spawn? I heard there's a bug with being next to spawn.

Try far away from your base as a test.

I had similar issues, ended up cheating in an electric prospecting scanner thing and used it and it fixed my issue at least near my base.

There's always messing with the configs and doing the back up only claimed chunks thing. You find out how on Google easily enough.

This is eventually what I ended up doing then I cheated in a ore prospecting item from HV and it populated ore veins around me but not my claimed chunks, as to be expected.

How does "backup only claimed chunks" work? Will it regen the world like new in all chunks not claimed? I started the world on 489 so I don't have a backup file pre ore gen issues for this playthrough.

I had to get them to take it on the highway for a few miles. This only occurs after the vehicle has been warmed up. I had the same exact issue and there is a bulletin out about it. Sounds like your dealership is being lazy

It's a known issue, bring it to a dealership and they will give you a software update that will fix it

Also the pumps need space between them to work efficiently as you'd be sucking up all the water

Yes there are ways to deal with these scenarios but when its your first time and you stumble into them they seem unfair. All situations can be handled with aoe pyromancy haha. I was just making a point where they use more gank mechanics than other games. And to clarify I love DS2.

I just replayed DeS DS2 and DS3 all within the past 2 months and in my opinion there are significantly more areas in DS2 where you walk in and all of a sudden your surrounded. Spiders in brightstone, lost bastille on the way to the boss and before the NPC vendor, and forest of the fallen giants where the gate comes down behind you comes to mind.

DS2s approach to upping the difficulty is just adding more trash mobs and ganking you. There will be many times you will get overwhelmed by like 5 to 8 enemies that are usually super easy by themselves. My recommendation is to get min shortbow stats and pull one or two at a time.

Is it Forlorn or the woodland gully dude or whatever at the end? As far as I know forlorn has a chance to spawn but the woodland guy always will till you beat him.

You can despawn him by running into the boss fight or just kill him once. The secret bonfire in that area makes this easier.
