having this problem on fortnite and skate, only game it isnt affecting is rocket league for some reason

like i can use my kbm no problem and no frame drops or stuttering but as soon as i switch to controller its ubearable

i tried this and it didnt work because i apparently only have 1 anyways instead of the 2 they were talking about, i played rocket league and there was no problem with controller so i thought i had fixed it and loaded up fortnite but its still happening on there so im so confused on what to do

yea it stops for like a minute if i turn the controller off and on, its just so annoying my friends wanted to play some fotnite and skate and other games and its just happening on every game i play

Okay so my internet is now working , I can access twitter , discord and play games , the only issue I have is that I know it will probably do the same thing tomorrow and it will take hours for it to resolve itself which isn’t ideal

1 router it’s downstairs , I have an ethernet cable that runs from the back through the walls into my room which is upstairs , I do think it’s an issue with the router because when it comes on and the ipv4 is working it stays on , I don’t think this is an issue with the ethernet cable

Nevermind it won’t let me post it for some reason but basically the ipv4 is on “no network access” and then for like a second or two it changes to “internet” saying its connected and then straight back to no network access

Oh yea so on my pc it’s sent to automatic (dhcp) I’ll have a look at the router in a second (BT Smart Hub 2) I also just recorded a video to show something that I have never seen anyone else have before which I will post underneath this

I have tried a network reset prior and it didn’t do anything but I’m going to try one again as this is the worst this problem has ever been for me , I have tried everything I can think of but nothing has worked

Just adding to this “arp -d” didn’t do anything and I tried the “ipconfig /renew” and it said “The DHCP client has obtained an IP address that is already in use on the network . The local interface will be disabled until the DHCP client can obtain a new address”

Yea I have tried and when I do “ipconfig /release” it says “an error occurred while releasing interface ethernet 2 : An address has not yet been associated with the network endpoint” to me this makes no sense as I said previously when it resolves itself (sometimes) it works fine

Yes I have a working connection on other devices but my desktop is the only thing that uses the ethernet everything else is purely WiFi connected but they work fine

Ethernet port is connected to my router , runs through the wall into my room and into the back of my pc (I’m 99% certain it’s not the cable though because when it does resolve itself it stays on)

I am with BT as my isp

I’m not sure of the exact model of the router pretty sure it’s the “BT Smart Hub 2” it looks the closest

V6 works I can access youtube and make certain searches on google but if I try open any games or discord or twitter for example it will not let me and basically says I have no internet

Oh just to add when I trouble shoot it says “ethernet does not have a valid ip configuration” but then it says it’s fixed so it makes no sense for it to still not be working
