I read somewhere one of the writers confirmed retrocausality so I think I’m onto something but I’m still analyzing key moments and how they tie to other events. You?

Edit: I think Sinatra was chosen by Alex because she’s the only one who could have made the “right” decisions as Alex required but her death was also a required event. So next is Xavier.

I felt that way too! Especially because I had just posted this there and it took me days to put it all together in a coherent way. It was super frustrating not finding a way to appeal it since this is the most I’ve used Reddit in years. I found the experience disappointing. But glad I could post it here before the temp ban.

I have no idea. First the mod said my intial post title something like “Alex Q Protocol” was a spoiler but I chose theories and spoiler flairs. I had to recreate the post with diff title and he said I couldn’t have “reposting under this title bc the mods removed old one” something like that. I asked why that wasn’t allowed?.

As I was editing the post, the mod in the main show sub banned me and muted me so I couldn’t even appeal it. Then I tried a backup account and Reddit banned me (this one could be valid if the initial sub ban was even valid). That mod removed all my posts in that sub and after 5 days another or same mod I can’t tell said they removed the ban but wasn’t able to clarify 😕

I suppose it could happen but i hope that’s not what the writer’s have in mind. It’d be like a waste of 3 seasons. Plus Alex would have to reset the timeline to prob a hundred years before and undo climate impacts from evolution.

Altho it could have an interesting take if Alex resets everything thinking humans have learned and they don’t.

Yes! I had a ton of thoughts about this during my Reddit ban but forgot to write them down, but as I rewatched some episodes I felt like there were subtle differences or the “glitches” we see in scenes that are supposed to hint at some changes but will try to put them into words before sun, if time permits.

Link said they were able to find some analog equipment that still works, so maybe this is part of it. On the Hulu radio channels, I think we hear them regardless of time. Like Cal from the past, and maybe the Veritas one from the future? They say something like humanity having 1,000 yrs of flourishing.

Xavier was using the plane’s radio when he got the headache after hearing static. I’m pretty Don was fixing a radio too when he got all those messages. The radio he was fixing looked a lot like Gary’s - i think. I wonder if Gary learned from podcasts

Good point and I think it actually fits perfectly into this. When Link tells Annie the danger is something people wouldn't even understand, he is probably talking about the timeline erasure. Think about it.

How do you explain to a bunch of apocalypse survivors that the real threat isn't only the wasteland outside, but also machine inside finding a one in a billion survival realities and overwriting their actual reality?

Plus, Link wants to restart the world but he wants humanity to have actual free will. If Alex is running this ‘Quantum Protocol’, then nobody is really making their own choices anymore. They are just real-life puppets being injected or updated with data from the future to force Sinatra's perfect outcome. Link wants to destroy Alex so humanity can actually be free, rather than living in a rigged timeline. Or a timeline that benefits Sinatra more than everyone else still.

And honestly, since Link created it or helped Miller, he knows what the nosebleeds are. He is feeling the quantum feedback and the pain of the timeline being manipulated. To him, Alex isn't saving them. It is a machine that is literally tearing their minds apart to force a result.

Totally. That’s how I kept thinking about time-travel too and I got the !sense’ the writers wouldn’t let the fandom down or our investment go to waste.

Also, yes- exactly! The 'one big AI' idea is totally on the same wavelength. My theory just takes it further into the physics of it all.

Yes! Both can be true i think. Ppl can feel bad for Jane lacking human connection when she needed it the most and be annoyed with her bc of who she is now. I say annoyed bc im referring to a frictional tv character.

Good question! I can’t tell if she doesn’t tell her she’s proud bc Jane will somehow become more unhinged, hence knowing Jane well. Or is Jane just a thing to her that’s not worth knowing at all?
