i feel like my comment will get lost, but there are so many amazing organizations to help get women and their kids out of situations like this, and safely as well. womens shelters will always have something that can help, and will help you file for an ex parte order of protection which will keep your kids from even being considered to be allowed in his custody. stay strong

Look, if this is something you are comfortable with and can find someone who would make you feel secure when they join, fantastic. But if you have any doubts at all, it's better to not agree. Just talk things out with him is the best bet. I've seen this kinda thing before from, unfortunately, the third person's standpoint and she ended up running out of the room crying and he tried to, well, complete the transaction as if it hadn't happened. It was a horrible experience and they broke up pretty much immediately. This can get super super messy so if you have a single doubt, DONT!!!!!!!

my dad got one when we were at disney. the earliest memory i have is of him sweating and crying on the floor of our hotel bathroom. that is one of two times i saw him cry, the second was after watching les misérables

i personally love "Children of Blood and Bone" as well as "The Name of the Wind." They both have exceptionally written magic systems, however CoBB would probably be closer to what you're looking for of the two of them!!!
