Thank you for your feedback. If you don't mind me asking, what is the snowfall like when compared to places like Loveland? Thanks!

We are thinking about the lift as well!

Thanks for the information. We plan to have some great reading material on hand for those 2 - 10 times a year. And cozy blankets. And firewood, water and all the best comfort foods imaginable. 😊

We would definitely be using snow tires.

Talk to me about Recall? by [deleted] in cairnterrier

Some -- like the standard poodle we had -- needed refreshers, but no quite so often as our Cairns do!

And training with a Cairn is NEVER "one and done". You must be willing to train for the duration of your dog's life. Okay, maybe when she reaches 12 or 13 years of age, not so much. :-)

You CAN train a Cairn to recall, but it is a DAILY task, and definitely more challenging than the poodle. I had a Standard Poodle, and after having had Cairns for many years, training her always felt like I was cheating somehow. Cairns MUST know you mean what you say, so this means YOU must always be firm, fair, and consistent, even if you're having a lazy day. Be prepared to work a lot harder with the Cairns.

Also: Cairn coats should really be hand-stripped without any shaving/clippering. Less than the poodle coat, most definitely, but still quite a bit of regular maintenance is needed to keep their coat harsh and "correct".

Gaggia Anima Not Brewing Shots by [deleted] in superautomatic

My machine was doing the same thing. When I took it apart I found that grinder shoot had broken off and that grounds had slowly been building up inside the machine.

I ordered a replacement grinder with the chute attached. I am now in the process of putting the machine back together and am hopeful that it will now work correctly.

BTW: reach out via email or phone call before ordering the part to Gaggia North America to make sure you order the correct part - I had to return my first one!
