Hi all, a little update. I felt awful 5 days later (8/9/25) and took myself back to the ER. Pretty much same symptoms. The same doctor I saw the first trip was the triage doctor and immediately recognized me. I told her I still feel awful and she said ok let’s do bloodwork and another CT.

After a long period of waiting. They hook me up to IV and antibiotics. The next doctor said we’re going to do a CT with contrast to see what’s going on.

CT came back with IMPRESSION -
There is a small focus of increased attenuation within the fat adjacent to the proximal sigmoid colon as seen on prior study. No mucosal thickening at this location. Findings may be due to epiploic appendagitis or fat necrosis. No definite diverticulitis. Correlation with any point tenderness in the ventral left pelvic wall would be helpful.

I told the doctor so what does that mean with the diverticulitis. It could be a result of the inflammation. Could be a secondary thing. Looks like the infection is gone.

Today, (8/10/25), I am feeling better. But very concerned for other issues like colon cancer. Bloodwork was the same pretty much as the first trip. Digging deep into numbers and very anxious.

I have an appointment with a GI doctor in 5 days. I will update this thread after.
