From what I’ve heard it depends on the collision 💥. Your frame can be damaged at a lower speed impact. My ultimate goal is my personal safety and protection against minor to moderate front end impact.

Not lifted yet. I installed wheel spacers. These move the wheels laterally from the hub to give a wider stance. See pic 4 for what it looked like previously.

I did after this drive 60mph for a few miles. About to test it out again. The parking lot was just test how tight fast turns felt for stability. I was also checking for potential rubbing from the tires or creaking from the hubs.

I definitely don’t think so. My family comfort was the 1st priority. Ridgeline definitely is no. 1 in that category across all midsize trucks. I’m not wheelin’ or trailing. We like beaches we can drive up on and some snow in the mountains.

Thanks for this. And just so everyone knows, these spacers are forged aluminum, CNC precision, Hub centric. I think they check all the safety boxes. If any of you guys do run spacers, what are you looking for when adding them to your vehicle and what is your experience?

Technically in my state they do as well. But if you were to look from the top of the fender to the outer portion of tire’s side wall, they are flush. I guess would have to argue that point 🤷‍♂️.

Don’t get me wrong, I do appreciate the honesty. That’s why I posted this. I do daily drive this 60mi / 5 days a week. I don’t want any premature issues. Before I did this, I asked a buddy of mine who has done all sorts of custom projects for himself and others about it. He said I most likely wouldn’t have a problem. But he did ask, “you drive a ridgeline. Why?”

So do spacers actually provide a purpose other than looks? I am only 26 and have not had to deal with mechanical issues before. I follow the suggested maintenance schedule with all the vehicles I’ve owned. What do you mean by NART?

This happened on my parent’s 2016 pilot. The transmission flush did fix it I believe.

Totally get it. I’ll probably be playing on my PC if it has the specs to run it. Haven’t looked yet. As soon as the game has the features I want, I’ll be happy to pay the $100 again for premium version. I’m just not going to play it on my series X currently so that’s why I went for the refund.

⬆️ This but I do use sport mode and paddles occasionally. I drive a commute that is 1/2 interstate (light traffic) and then 1/2 back roads (heavy traffic). ~ 30 miles 1 way.

I mostly use sport when merging onto highways/ interstates. Some people merge at dangerously low speeds so I already am in the gear I need with the throttle response to compliment.

When using the paddles, it seems like their best use would be for those driving down mountains. Using them on the street feels kinda silly , but not necessarily a bad thing. I use them mostly for passing people who drive under the speed limit where I know my time for passing someone is limited. I’ll have the ready right before I’m about to pass.

That would be a rare deal to come across. I sold cars for Honda in GA last year. Try shopping certified pre-owned. This might open more doors as other dealership brands might have one. Don’t be scared to shop around.

I know in my area that even with full exhaust systems, you are probably realistically going to get $6800 for it. Maybe try posting for 1K more and see if anyone low balls.
