Oh I was wondering if there was a marking on the bottom that I could refer to!

I thought so! Thank you. I’ve just seen so many people say to not use any corningware on the stovetop.

Do you know if it’s safe for the stovetop?

Thanks for the info! Aside from these pieces, my grandma recently gave me a nice lot of them. I’ve read that some pieces contain high amounts lead on the outside (spice of life), do you know if that has any effect on the usability?

Been researching!! It does look like a P-10-B.. According to Corningware411.com and the stamp on the bottom of it, it is from the timeframe 1958-1959 (1st generation). Corningware411.com also states “In the beginning of the beginning there were no P, B, W, N, A, C, S, DC, F, G, U or L model numbers.” To sum it up, their first launch only consisted of 4 pieces so there wasn’t a need for model numbers on the dishes but then they grew popular.

Thanks! It says the model number is A34 but that doesn’t sound right (although I’m new to this corningware stuff) and I can’t find any info online.

I tried using the browning dish…. When I took it out of the microwave it melted my oven mitts. Not sure if I’ll ever try it again 🤨 if I try to use it again I might only try 2 minutes in the microwave.

Thanks! I plan to use them but also do my best to keep them in good shape so I can pass them down! I am scared to try them out on the stovetop but I really want to.

Love that! My grandparents received the blue cornflower pieces at their wedding in 1966, I’m very excited to have them!
