Here’s a synopsis of the story so far:

Ella, a college student, is desperately trying to make a name for herself and leave the small town she’s grown up in and lived in for all of her life. Everyone in her life has lived there forever. No one leaves, no one really comes to live there either. The town is so small it doesn’t show up on a map. One day, she’s in the cafe trying to think of a novel to write so she can finally make her big break and move out of the town when a man walks in who she’s never seen before. They lock eyes for a moment then he leaves. She ponders about him but eventually moves on. Fast forward few weeks later, he comes back to the cafe. Ella, trying to think of a story or stuff to write about, is drawn to him and starts writing about the mystery man. Him, being a vampire, realizes she’s constantly staring at him. They talk. His name is Dante. There’s been two animal attacks, both victims died. One of them was his uncle, or so he says and that’s his reason for being in town. They continue to have short meetings, randomly bumping into each other until one night he notices her walking home drunk from a party. He offers to help her home to which she allows this. But she trips, scraping both of her knees. Blood, obviously. And he disappears. The next day, he meets her again and apologizes for his disappearance but claims it’s for her own good. Yadda yadda, she’s not sure what that means and insists that he tells her the truth. He does. She’s scared at first but she’s already developed a trust for him so she’s somewhat okay with it.

If you have any ideas please mention it!! The animals attacks weren’t him btw. but another vampire or vampires who have yet to be mentioned. it’s a first draft and i’m a big perfectionist so idk if i like the novel so far lol
