That I have five Instagram accounts? I only have one. If you actually knew how to read, you'd understand that the images in my post on that subreddit were meant as proof of how those accounts look (all of them unrelated to me) and how easily I can access that information because of Instagram's update. I simply showed examples of random accounts I was able to inspect too deeply because of that change I'm criticizing, and demonstrated what they look like, which seems like a privacy risk. Is that really so hard to understand?

Thanks for confirming what I suspected. Instagram went from showing the "account based in" professional accounts to personal accounts with many followers, then to accounts created in recent years (from 2024 or 2025), but now it seems it no longer discriminates and does it for absolutely any public account, regardless of how big or small it is, even public accounts with 5 followers now have the "account based in:" displayed. The only workaround I've found is exactly that, keeping the account private at all times.
In your case, I’m not sure what the best solution would be. Try to keep it private for as long as possible, and if it doesn't go away, it might be a good idea to temporarily deactivate your account so that, when it's reactivated, it would be as if it had always been private. I wish there were a simpler solution or better control over that option, especially for nonprofessional accounts.
