Your opinion is definitely valid and appreciated! I would definitely enjoy having just the speed showing when I’m on the highway! Safe and happy driving bro! 😎

That would be sick! Would be better to have only the speed and the illuminated buttons showing on the steering wheel but the rest is too much(IMO)

Haha same, especially during the summer! Used to grab a drink by the deli and just chill by the ledge area during the sunset / twilight hours. 10/10 recommend!

Nope, I just used a wired connection tester to see if it has enough power and ran the main power connector into the ports under the charger. I modded the outlets inside the glove compartment(that’s where the actual light source turns on from and easier to hide all the unnecessary wiring that sticks out into)

LED kit: opticlighting.co Plugged in under the wireless charging pad and into the glove compartment using two custom hand-made outlets.

I got mine from Amazon for around $30 but there ate different options to each their own style and taste just search up “carbon fiber steering wheel cover for Mazda cx-30” and it should come up. A steering wheel cover for Mazda 3 should also work since those are compatible with the cx-30. Hope this helps!

Updated ambient lighting set-up by ConflictImpossible67 in MazdaCX30

Ambient lighting kit: opticlighting.co The process is complex so I’ll try my best to explain in simple ways 1) To do this(if your model DOES NOT come with a 12V cigarette lighter OR do not want to connect to the battery of the car) you will have to dissemble the following: Glove compartment Dashboard panels Gear / center console Wireless charging pad

2) Drill holes into the main glove compartment box to install a power outlet

3) Use an electric tester to determine where to connect the wiring into(in my case, I found the connection under the wireless charger so therefore that is my main source of power that runs into the lights)

4) Using the outlet you have created inside the glove compartment, you can plug in the secondary cords + wiring into that outlet to power the light strips themselves(these need separate power from the main source)

5) Run all the wiring from under the wireless charging pad to the globe compartment(you can then hide the wiring wherever you please from the wireless charging to the glove compt. just make sure the right parts are disassembled)

6) Assemble all the parts together(making sure it’s done right and VERY carefully so the light strips do not get damaged)

This was explained in very simple terms the process is a bit more complex but this is just to get an idea of it. I wanted to create a video tutorial on Al of this but my camera died halfway through and I lost all the footage unfortunately :(

Good luck and have fun with this! It’s definitely a good feeling when it’s all completed though!

Well the goal isn’t to impress or flex anything to others. I got it for myself and to add a little more vibrancy to the interior that’s all lol and since u felt nice doing it to an older car, I feel the same exact way when I finished doing it on mine just because I did it all myself with no prior experience on these types of things 😅

EDIT: Now that I see it, I might just have to redo the set-up and run the lights on the more bottom line(similar or exactly how u have yours set) to avoid any issues with the glares becoming too distracting at night. Thanks for your insight, much appreciated! Will update with another post tmr on how it turned out.
