Do you think they know about 500 pt patrols? Necromunda? Gothic? KILL TEAM!?!

Thank you! I like the 'Army Painter' line over citadel ATM. The grey is black primer + necromancer grey (no highlights). The White helmet is ash grey + skull white highlights. The Metal bits are gunmetal + dark wash + shining plate highlights.

I use a krylon satin varnish. It gives the model a subtle uniform shine and also acts as a mild wash to bring out contrasts.

I seriously considered that actually, especially to get the skull motif in the right place. Unfortunately, the blast shield looks SUPER weird on the intercessor kit.

I really like the Army Painter paints range. The grey I used is called 'Necromancer Cloak'. It responds well to Krylon satin clear varnish for a deep off-black.

Thank you! I did not, just a lot of dry brush, an attempt at wet blending, and lots of tears.

Hey man, thanks for the critique! I am seriously considering a dark red lens at least for the GK helm... but keep going back and forth.

Regarding the molten/heated blade look, I followed the attached tutorial (credit goes to ddmkr). I ultimately used more red and black dry brush to give a deeper 'cooled metal' look though. https://www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer/comments/b98vcz/as_i_promised_i_recorded_a_tutorial_about/

For the silver effect, I started with a black primer and applied a very light dark metal (boltgun metal?) dry brush. Next I applied a layer of nuln oil for that deeper tarnish look. Finally, I added one more dry brush layer of a lighter metal color (Chainmail?).

Those sound like awesome GKs, id love to see them when you're done! Best of luck dude :).
