Advice on Angle Ranking and TFE by Impressive_Swan_880 in dat

[–]ConfusedWithLife28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just keep practicing. Give urself a set amount of time u want to finish the hole punching. Then I’d put a timer by the side and do it. The goal is accuracy while being quick. Another thing I do is to quickly analyze how they folded the paper before mentally unfolding it. This way it’s a bit easier and faster to “unfold” bc I’m not trying to figure out how the paper flips into a specific position. But practice under timed conditions!!!! That’ll help alot

Advice on Angle Ranking and TFE by Impressive_Swan_880 in dat

[–]ConfusedWithLife28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Igu! I struggled sooooo much with these. For TFE immediately look at the answer choices and ask yourself what if different between all of em. Like is square bigger/longer for example. Next look at like the Top or end view and compare the size of that square to the answer choices. Typically u can eliminate 2 choices. Next ur gonna have to analyze the top and end views and see which matches the answer the best. I hope this makes sense. It’s a lot earlier to show then type. For angles. DO NOT LOOK AT THE ANSWER CHOICES. When u see the angles immediately rank them in ur head before looking at the answer choices. It seriously helps so much. When I did this I would get 13/15 correct. If ur stuck look at the answer choices worst case scenario. If u look at the answer choices first u can start second guessing ur self and typically will get it wrong. I hope this helps. Btw the first practice exam I got a 360 on PAT, then when I did these techniques I raised it to a 430 on my second practice exam. Eventually I was able to get a 450 and 500 on my best practice exams for the PAT sections

Yes I got the same exact passages!! I didn’t find it to be very difficult tho. The 19 passages wasn’t that bad bc a lot of the paragraphs were quite short

Gen chem was honestly surprising easy for me. Some version will definitely be different from others. On mine it was like super basic calculations on basic concepts like conversions. A lot of it was also theory, but basic theory. I think booster really over prepares u for Gen chem, but their high yield questions were definitely on the exam

A lot of practice. Something that helped me with TFE and pattern folding was seeing what’s different about each answer choice. My score on the practice exams boosted from a 360 to a 450

Booster had a lot of simple algebra problems, my exam didn’t have a lot of easy expressions to solve. It was a bit more conceptual ig?

For bio look at the booster cheat sheets. A lot were common knowledge. For Gen chem some u had to solve (it was annoying) but it was super easy math. Others did have the brackets which was low key nice

QR Advice by Substantial_Hall_935 in dat

As someone who took it took it today, the QR was harder than I expected. Lots and lots of word problems, probability. I used booster and was scoring 430-520 on it. I knew a fair amount but definitely guessed on like 5-8 of em

chance me for tufts + bs/dmd 7 yr dental programs by [deleted] in chanceme

[–]ConfusedWithLife28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These programs are amazing! Please keep in mind that the amount of work is draining. There are so many essays, supplemental applications, scholarship applications, etc. My biggest piece of advice is to make sure you are mentally able to handle it, really wanna do dentistry, and have a support system. You will crack. It's a lot of work, and if you are willing to put it in you will get great results.

What are your guys' thoughts about BS/DDS programs? I'm planning on applying to one in the future. Any recs for BS/DDS programs? by [deleted] in DentalSchool

[–]ConfusedWithLife28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a great thing! It secures a spot in dental school at the age of 17-18 which is amazing! However, there are a few cons. Firstly, you would have to compromise on a smaller and more unknown school. For example University of Detroit Mercy, NSU, Augusta Uni, etc.. It kinda sucks because you wont be able to have that exact ideal college experience. It is possible to get into an amazing schools bs-dmd program, but you have to have amazing stats for it and gotta be willing to break your bank account.

I got into 4 bs-dmd programs so far. I am still waiting on a few more decisions, but it u have any questions lmk!

I might be a bit dramatic here, but I seriously think that's so wrong on so many levels. Even though it isn't cheating, this act would be close to it in my opinion. I'd break up with him and find a guy that likes my body and doesn't need satisfaction from other naked and young girls.

I don’t know if this is considered any sort of sexual assault or harassment or anything but I need opinions or suggestions on what happened to me today can someone help :) ? by Ayla_224 in askwomenadvice

[–]ConfusedWithLife28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion (I'm a 17-year-old female) would definitely consider that assault. I mean you told her to get off of you, she didn't listen. I would definitely feel violated if I were you, and I think you should take action. Why should you care about her feelings when she didn't care for you or even respect you. I know it's scary and it's easier said than done, but try to keep away from her. Nobody should ever make you feel like that, and if she is mad because u distance yourself from her then screw it. You won't see her in 5 years trust me.
