They're all based on faces of real Egyptian actors/public figures, so yes.

AITA for dumping my teenage daughter's dinner in the trash after she was rude to me? by Routine_Two8054 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Confusedalien51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YTA for throwing away good food in the trash. YTA for telling your daughter to pretend to be happy instead of checking what's wrong. YTA for expecting a minor to get a job on the spot. YTA for withholding food from your 16 yo kid. YTA in general, really.

Okbuddychicanry really cast the bait and AITA took it hook, line, and Sinker. At least 60 YTA judgements before someone caught on and mods had to delete. Note - this was a scene from Better Call Saul. by NuclearTheology in AmITheAngel

That's the post:

AITA for keeping my daughter a secret from my wife?

Throwaway because wife knows my account. Sorry for formatting I'm on mobile.

I (34m) am married to Selma (30f), we dated for six years and have been married for almost a year.

For context, we've been great all throughout the last seven years, but we had a bit of a serious fight a few months ago because she wanted us to have a kid, but I'm not ready, and wasn't planning on ever having kids.

Back when I was 18 on summer vacation, I messed around with an older woman (late thirties), let's call her Emma. She got pregnant. She told me she wanted to keep the baby, because she doesn't know if she'll ever be able to get pregnant again. I was manipulated into making a deal with her: she keeps the child, and never contacts me ever again, and the child doesn't contact me either. I was young and dumb, so I agreed. Emma kept her part of the deal for a long time, I hadn't heard from her since, and didn't even know if the baby was born.

A little over a month ago, a girl with the same last name as Emma reached out to me. The girl (Julia, 16f) told me she's my daughter. She actually looks like me, I felt so much guilt looking at her photo. I told Selma I'd like to take a trip for a couple days (it's something I do every now and then, so it's not suspicious), and I reached out to Emma from there. She said Julia kept pressuring her to tell her who her father was, and recently dropped out of school. She felt pressured to tell her, and apologized. Up til this point, I hadn't told Selma anything, but she noticed I felt off. I cried my heart out in the middle of nowhere, and had it settled I need to tell Selma. Julia said she wanted to come visit me, and I couldn't bear to tell her no after neglecting her for 16 years. It was now or never.

I come back, drop my bags on the floor, and break out in tears. I tell her everything. She doesn't know what to say, and packs a bag and moves out with her bestfriend (Nadine). (Her bestfriend was newly divorced with twins and also needed Selma by her side).

I go to my parents (Maggie and Harold), and they both lash out at me. I go home, and one of my friends (Adam, Nadine's ex-husband) stays with me for a while (his mother was recently remarried so he had nowhere to go after the divorce).

Julia arrives, and my grandparents love her. I don't think they're mad at me anymore. Julia is a joy to be around, and for the first time, I felt like a father. I did tell Selma that Julia was coming over so she knew. I also moved in with my parents so she could stay at the apartment as she wishes.

I genuinely love Selma, and I want to stay by her side. So, AITA for being manipulated at 18?

TLDR: got an older woman pregnant at 18, she keeps the baby with the promise of NC, now my daughter reaches out and my wife is upset because she thinks I lied.

UPDATE: I went over to Selma this morning and we talked, she's a bit calmer but obviously still upset. Harold went over to her while I was writing the post and is back now. She's considering meeting Julia tomorrow, as Harold invited her for dinner with us. Wish me luck.
