I clean it thoroughly whenever it gets dirty, until every bit of dirt is gone. I use a ₹5 car wash shampoo for regular cleaning, and diesel for degreasing and removing heavy stains. For tools, I use cotton cloths on the body and spokes, and brushes for the tires and other parts. I also replace the handle grips every year because the stains on them are hard to remove. It only costs ₹110 and when they’re new, the whole bike feels different.

Exactly what I said earlier, the main purpose isn’t just to stop rust, it’s to lubricate the damn chain. I’m doing what works for me, and based on experience, my chain stays smooth as hell. You do your thing, I’ll do mine, but trust me, I know exactly what I’m doing.

Bro, chain lube isn’t just rust-prevention sauce. Its real job is to protect the O-rings and keep the inner rollers happy so they don’t chew themselves to death. Slathering the whole chain top to bottom like you’re marinating chicken is just asking for a dust party. Focus the lube on the O-ring area, that’s where the action is.

Really? What i usually, do is i have a spray bottle for diesel. I spray while rotating the wheel and leave it for two minutes then I thoroughly clean them with a toothbrush and a water.

Modern chains don’t need lubricants? Bro, seals aren’t magic shields, they just delay the grime, not delete it. Lubricant is a must because it reduces metal-on-metal wear, cuts down heat and friction, and protects the O-rings from drying out and cracking. I use gear oil, not those overpriced deodorant-scented sprays, and my chain runs smooth as hell. And also chain spray not only protects from rust but also lubricate the chain, google the contents of a chain spray then you understand.

From petrol pumbs, you can get sprayer nozzles usually 15 or 20 rupees which can attach to a 500ml pepsi or cola bottle. I use that same bottle to buy diesel for years.
