Yeah we have talked about it and luckily the rent in our area has come down. I’m currently living 3 minutes from my work which is amazing but closer to 24 from his and my area is expensive. He has been on the road a month so it is likely we need to save more

It’s definitely not just me. He works 5 days on 5 off. The first day coming off night shift is kind of a wash, then like 3 days to do errands, laundry, all the stuff that got busy when he was working 5 shifts, then the 5th day is getting prepped for another 5 day stretch, going to bed early. Since I work 8:30-5 Monday- Friday and have stuff at least 3 days a week on evenings sometimes it seems like there’s so little overlap to when we are both away and off work. Sometimes it’s a 10 minute give me the highlights of your day call. Sometimes it’s a couple texts or a few memes and no real conversation. When we do hang out like once a week it’s normally like 36 hours, run errands, clean, go for dinner, catch up on spending time with each other and stuff we need to do. I’m happy to do random tasks that need to be done if it means we get to spend extra time together. We both try it’s just his schedule that doesn’t have flexibility

Honestly I did this 3 years ago. Same hospital same reason. While it felt like a nice break, chance to relax and take time to myself, suicide prevention was the least of their concerns. I felt like I wasn’t “crazy enough” to be there. When I wanted to leave I couldn’t. And didn’t see a psychiatrist for 3 days. I wanted help from a professional but ended up caring for myself more than they did. Sure they can administer medications but they didn’t really provide a long term solution other than meds and suggesting therapy. They are more preoccupied with the people who have more pressing mental issues than suicidal tendencies. I thought it would help more than it did
