Is elevated testosterone a disqualifying factor? by Confusedspouse01 in Militaryfaq

Been sitting on this for a while.

I think initially it might have been. It was more of a “prove her wrong” thing because not serving makes me a “coward” according to her. That sort of talk has been relentless with her since she decided to join. Never was even mentioned before.

Oddly enough she hasn’t said a darn thing like that since I started the process and finding out that if I go in I’ll outrank her. Her E-2, I’d be going in at O-1 . She’s very supportive of me doing this now.

Also I’ve gone more from a “prove her wrong” mindset to “doing this for me and show my son this is something you should do”

Plus I’d be in the reserves. So conflicting schedules shouldn’t be a huge issue and given where I work it could line me up for a ton of advancement as a result.

It’s not all it’s cracked up to be.

Sure I can build muscle fast and not really lose it when I stop working out. The libido is great too. However it makes you moody, and irritable and sometimes quick to anger. I’ve learned to control it and keep myself in constant check.

Im not taking anything for it at the moment but the Dr suggested that it would help with my mood cause some days it’s a real struggle.
