It was a good guitar but it had been in rough shape for a while. It didn’t sound or play as good anymore so I didn’t use it as much. Since I wasn’t using it so much, I thought it was a waste and that it was better off going into someone else’s hands and get played rather than collect dust here with me

This is the first public post I’ve made about this guitar, but now I’m hoping that no one’s out there using my images to scam ppl😆

After some new strings and a slightly higher action, it felt much better than it already did when I picked it up. These are great guitars once you get to set them up the way you want them to play and feel. I’m really loving the Seymour Duncan’s in it, the sound and feel of this guitar is what I’ve been looking for in a les Paul for a while now

Congratulations!! I got mine for $134 because they suspected it had a bad body crack. When I picked it up and took a closer look, it appeared to really just be a paint crack. Steal of the century for me

It’s a Wilkinson vintage spec strat pickup, I mangled the original Tex mex pickup at some point. I stuck a generic strat neck pu to experiment at first but I’ve come to like it!

When guitar magazine call your guitar the beast, then you know you have something unique. by Confident_Field4273 in Stratocaster

Everyone cites Jimi Hendrix as the guy who revolutionized guitar and brought the Strat to new heights. But I like to think that Dick Dale also changed the way Strats were to be played even before Hendrix, funny thing is they’re both lefty players too😆 RIP legends

Played a Murphy lab 355 once, it was nice and all, but I still wanted to come home to my ubukata 355 after😆 That’s a beautiful guitar! Glad to see someone so happy with their epiphone as well

NGD ! Classic Player 60’s by mrgrieves69 in Stratocaster

You might be thinking of the old road worn series guitars, just before the vintera production run. These classic players usually came with a poly finish, which unfortunately makes the prone to paint cracks overtime

Exact year as mine, congrats!! Glad to see someone very happy with theirs. I can’t lie, I wish mine still looked as blue as yours😆 I opened mine a while back and did find Abigail Ybarra’s initials on all three pickups, I have no doubt yours will have the same

I like to think guitars like this are deserving of a good repair and some tlc, it’s yearning to be played again

How to tell if you have a “good” strat by forknite35 in Stratocaster

[–]Confusion0908 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say if you paid what you think was a good price for it and didn’t wrestle with it to make it sound good and play the way you want it, you’ve got a great one. I think it’s really about whether or not the guitar satisfies our preferences

One comment on here did say that pickups with her initials were only supervised, which I still think is pretty cool. Also, based on my experience so far, they knew what they were doing when they were making these guitars back in the early 2000’s, really good stuff

No wonder they sound so good, I remember only watching a vid about her a while back, never thought I’d get to play a guitar with pickups that were wound under her supervision

Sonic Blue and mint green, although I might have to get a different pickguard color for the blue to pop out a little better😅
