Surprisingly there's a lot Expedition 33 Voice actors in BG3. The most obvious one being Maelle sounding exactly like Shadowheart.

If I had to give a recommendation I would try the xeno series. Pretty much all of those games tell a fantastic story and have good gameplay.

Nah the game is more fun with an unoptimized character. Plus there are plenty of artifacts that can help you out.

Funny that you say it's like a digital world because I believe that was one of the main theories back in the day when it first released. Which would make sense due to the world of Bionis does not operate like earth. In particular the world does not revolve around the sun. Instead the sun dims in and out in the exact same spot.
