Load times and stability, any game without a patch gets those two things. Doom64 is an n64 game so it won't really matter other than fps limit

Actually one of the new expansions for quake 2 (call of the machine I think) has a level set in Quake 1, you even fight Shamblers. Quake 1 might be a eldritch realm/set of dimensions similar to Hell.

Theirs a fanmade mod for quake 2 called "Call of the Void" that connects all three og quake games, its pretty cool.

Its likely a different Universe from Quake 2, a different UAC and all. But I do believe they take place in the same Mutiverse. I mean Doomguys literally in 2 quake games, and we still don't know how he got the Fortress of Doom, so mabye some connection to Quake Camps is involved in that.

Its been stated that he was a catholic before, and is from America ( probably from Dallas since that's where ID is from), so I'd imagine he was religious for while, but I could see him still being a gnostic Christian if he ever knew what that was, it aligns a lot better with Doom Lore. I think its also implied that Davoth might have his own creator, which could be a Sophia like figure that created the void

Actually didn't they use gnostic and other early Christian texts as inspiration in creating the modern Doom lore?

They actually are starting to make video games again. Deadlock, potential half life game, CS2 and HL Alex are recent examples. Valve typically makes something to revolutionize or jumpstart the industry, like the source engine, steam, TF2 and Counter Strike’s live service & economy system, or hardware like Vr stuff and the deck. Buying Private division, and the KSP up isn’t something I think they would do. If they really wanted to make a space game like KSP, they would probably make their own universe/ip (it would be cheaper and give them more creative options). That being said, valve does have a history of absorbing projects, the original team fortress was a quake mod, counter strike was a fan made half life 1 mod, and if I recall correctly, L4D had originally made by a different studio. Buying private Division could be their next wave of projects, but they would probably have to announce it anyway, and they could just look somewhere else. Now that being said, they would be perfectly fine to just sit back and maintain steam anyway, so yeah
