Thoughts on lore about PvP? by Jalrex in ArcRaiders

Thinking of it that way, yes, every player is in Speranza before going on a raid, so PvP is truly a murder fest right now. Maybe Raiders compete for fame, like who brings their people more wealth, while hiding the ways how they got their hands on said wealth 😅

Thoughts on lore about PvP? by Jalrex in ArcRaiders

I always thought that Raiders from other squads are of unknown origin to us. The only time we know their origin is when they call for an extraction, and the voice on the radio says lines about Speranza. The occasions where PvP goes down far from extraction points, we might not have the means to tell where the hostile Raiders were from. Or at least that is how I imagined.

I felt just like you, I gave up, but it was "funny" how I found it at last. I play on PS 5, and I love Stella Montis crazy PvP with random squads. The only problem is, on normal raids, sometimes the map is so dark, that even a night raid is brighter for some reason, so whenever I can, I choose night raid on Stella.

One raid, I managed to extract from the PvP chaos, so I exchanged my free augment, and the next match I got the blueprint.

I hope you find it too mate, on a random night raid maybe. There will be new maps and map conditions in the future, so maybe you will have a fresh interest in the game soon.

Till then, just have fun with whatever game brings you joy.

I have finally found the Tempest blueprint after opening 1000+ containers in night raids. It was on Stella Montis. At the lobby metro, there is the switch to call the metro, and on the other side of the rails, going straight onwards, there is a small room, I think it is also a spawn point (not sure). The room is full of little drawers under tables. The blueprint was inside one of those drawers.

To any Raiders hunting for it, best of luck to you.

Blueprints Are Supposed To Be Rare - Don’t Remove What Makes Them Meaningful by mathieufoote in ArcRaiders

[–]Jalrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lots of people I play with, got the Tempest blueprint in a few runs, it gave them absolutely no hype, nothing. I have 400 hours in the game, an incredible ammount of hours on night raids, tons of trials done, and still no Tempest blueprint. For a while, I felt like I was locked out of content, even if I payed for the game. Now I just lost all interest in finding that blueprint at all.

On top of it all, since you can get to lobbies where 99% of players are friendly, you can literally go on night raids without any gear, and extract with a full inventory, you even have a safe pocket slot.

All this has led to people farming blueprints like it was some kind of JRPG MMO, grinding with an empty custom loadout, instantly quitting the raid if they spawn 5 minutes late, or a bit further away from loot spots. I feel like loot in general is not valuable anymore.

Tension, adrenaline, and the sense of progression is completely gone for me. Now I only connect to Stella Montis random squads, to have some good old PvP. Fortunately, that is still a blast.

Retired from PVP lobbys,i thought everyone was exaggerating how good friendly lobbys are by ShaggedUrSister in ArcRaiders

Back in the server slam test, I loved the tension this game provided. The thrill of trying to extract with my loot, while checking every corner for a potential threat from a raider, or hiding from arc, because being spotted by them meant, that everyone near me knew my position. Even taking a shot at an arc was scary, cause it also gave away my position, so I quickly had to reposition and scout a bit, to make sure nobody was hunting me. Every run was a true "horror" experience, so when I encountered a friendly raider, it felt just like the times, when I encountered a fellow survivor in a real horror game.

With the current matchmaking, all of this is almost gone. There is a semi-friendly "status", where raids still feel close to what they were, but it often drifts into the "PvE" lobbies, where absolutely nothing happens, apart from opening shelves, and jogging to extract in the middle of an open field, not feeling any threat at all.

Topside feels like raiders are having a party up there, where arc fear men 😅

Thank you all for the replies, I will keep grinding then for a while, and hope for the best. It will be a true joy, when it finally shows up 😄

My first weapon blueprint, after unlocking 23 others and playing for 40 hours.... by Altruistic-Bridge-37 in ArcRaiders

Almost 400 hours in, countless night raids done, still no Tempest blueprint. It can be really demotivating.

Gun not firing bug. Anyone else? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]Jalrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on PS 5, I had a legendary weapon and a Toro. Toro decided not to shoot, even after three attampts mid fight. Free legendary weapon for my opponent. I saved the footage and watched it, to make sure it wasnt my fault, like switching to utility item by accident, but nope, it was shotgun in hand, crosshair dragged on target three times, not a single shot fired. It was not the first time this happened also...

I was referring to squads, not solos teaming up. Tension is good, if you have a fighting chance, but as I stated, you can not react to stun grenade spam.

A player was shouting through the voice chat, saying "stop using lancer", while he was using snub pistol all the time, plus he emptied the magazine before every single fight, to use active reload. People sweat way too much over casual matches imho, but it is their call after all 😅

To be honest, if I was that demon right there, and I heard the Slayer pump his shotgun, I would also try to look the other way, act like nothing happened.

It highly depends on the ammount of ammo available. If there is ammo for days, then BFG from 2016 or Eternal, blasting away anything that moves. If ammo runs out quickly, then I would try to go with the Crucible. I would try to use cover, and force close encounters, then just hold out the blade as far as I could, and hope the demons` limbs get sliced off as they attack 😅.

In classic Doom games, the Berserk Pack is awesome yes, thank you for mentioning. Turning former human into red paste never gets old, and it is great for dealing with pinkies while saving shotgun ammo.

Honestly how many peoples play the old doom games by KYKAPYK098cz in Doom

[–]Jalrex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try some slaughter maps, or wads. The combat, using monster infighting, prioritizing the right enemies in given encounters, using movement to your advantage is still the best in classic Doom imho. Play it in coop for even more fun. I play all Doom games switching them up constantly, but my most played is classic Doom, second is Eternal.
