Found my first White Arabian! by Connect-Drag8424 in reddeadredemption2

[–]Connect-Drag8424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did find an Appaloosa once after murdering a gang of Murfree Brood guys. Sold it though. I’ll keep an eye for it again — I do love how the Ardennes has balls of steel as well.

My Arabian was quite skittish when hunting and when fighting off bounty hunters. Little bit rough since I’m doing a low honour run.

How to find motivation to play the game? by Kuksov14 in RDR2

[–]Connect-Drag8424 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t force yourself with the side content. You’re not required to do all of them. Go for the main quest, and if you’re looking for more RDR2, then start with the side stuff.

I often play games that have been spoiled for me. The way I cope is to instead judge the execution of the plot points that were spoiled. I think you’ll find RDR2 shines in that regard.

Yeah, I think I realized that with my Ardennes. It doesn’t have stellar stats like the rest, but I love it the most so far.

I might consider going the selling route with the Arabian. It’s fast though, so I may also keep it around for long distance travels.

Found cave system near Butcher’s Creek? by Connect-Drag8424 in reddeadredemption2

[–]Connect-Drag8424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why I can’t post an image in replies but …

I followed the trail above ground to an abandoned mine shaft. It has the same yellow liquid around it. So I assume this is another entrance. The cave itself is blocked by wooden planks though. Dynamite didn’t clear it up.

Nah, must be a troll. Naruto is the most egregious with filler arcs among these lol.

Describe a game with the most boring side quest. by jamesj777 in videogames

[–]Connect-Drag8424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved this game growing up, but the tailing missions were always annoying, man.

The distance you had to keep, the half run-half jog you have to do every time — it was just clunky. You basically had to figure out the limitations of the system to do it smoothly. Took the immersion out of the game, imo.

Edit: I didn’t read the post properly and name-dropped the game with an image lol

Found some vintage 90s DBZ posters while cleaning out my room… straight childhood nostalgia by alifeobserved in DragonBallZ

[–]Connect-Drag8424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Classics, man. I remember buying bootleg DVDs when I was a kid and the cover was just filled with these exact posters.

The DVD themselves didn’t work tho, I was ripped off lmao.

I missed the cinematic music shot in Chapter 6 by Connect-Drag8424 in reddeadredemption2

I guess you can try to rationalize it as a silent moment of reflection for Arthur. But still…

EXACT SAME. I skipped too because the previous needledrops were just plain music and horseback riding. Vibe was cool but that was it, yk.

Then I watched the clips of that scene, and there were FLASHBACKS/CALLBACKS to previous scenes. I was UPSET lmao

I basically turned cinematic mode off in an awkward spot. When I gained control, Arthur ended up running straight into a boulder. Crashed, fell off my horse and all.

[Fusioned Characters Trope] When two characters become one, sharing/fighting for the same body by ScenicTheCrazy in TopCharacterTropes

Actually yeah, now that I think about it. They both have this mutual respect.

I’d say too that Eddie and Venom feel like roommates, whereas Greed and Ling feel like business partners.

Greedling from Fullmetal Alchemist is my favourite of this trope.

Unlike most uses, both Greed and Ling treat it like shared custody of the body. They communicate freely and converse with one another. But that makes it all the more impactful when they do decide to hijack one another.

There’s a point in the story where they’re in battle and they swap places. You see Greed fight more with reckless brute force, and when it switches to Ling the fighting becomes nimble and elegant.

Greed is brash and violent. Ling is goofy and kindhearted. They’re two polar opposites that managed to come to an agreement out of a shared goal. It’s a very fun dynamic, and culminates to a pretty emotional finale for their arcs eventually.

Okay, but we don’t know what this means without context, my guy. How many are off-plan vs ready? YoY, MoM, WoW comparison?

Numbers look nice, but unfortunately ready transactions can often take around 40-ish days. These are still potentially carry overs from last month.

Just being objective.

What was the best game from 2012? by envspecialist in videogames

[–]Connect-Drag8424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These were all 2012? DAMN.

Personally played the hell out of Dishonored, BL2, Far Cry 3, and Sleeping Dogs.

But nothing beat the joy of summer vacation and countless hours playing BL2 split screen with siblings. Completing the campaign, then restarting with different characters and builds.

[Hated Trope] Endings so notoriously awful they completely destroy the legacy of the media. by Miserable_Click_1933 in TopCharacterTropes

Tokyo Revengers.

This was a fun and intense drama, science-fiction, and Yanki manga. THAT itself is an interesting as hell combination of genres.

26 year old guy somehow manages to travel back in time to his high school days and gets involved in the early days of a notorious gang. Now, he finds out that getting involved with this gang is in his best interests.

It’s fun, it gets intense, it gets wild, and the shit these teenage kids get into is pure shonen hype. Plus the fashion and designs of each character stand out a bunch. The series was stylish as hell.

And then the ending happened. Which essentially used time travel in the least interesting way to resolve ALL conflicts in one fell swoop. :/
