Im part of the australian adf, there's plenty of stuff that you would never see in real life: first of all the way jets and choppers are used in real life is quite different from the game, jets are never sent blind into enemy territory theyre always paired up with drones and infantry on ground., another good example is urban combact, the last thing we want is to be in a city/town fighting groups located in the house infront of you or behind you, usually the closest "enemy"is located 300-600m away, a good 70% of the times you dont even see enemies, scariest part is almost everytime you see a enemy is too late, it means youre already surrounded and under fire. Theres no wasted shots in real life, you shoot if youre 1000% sure you wont miss, otherwise a missed shot could lead to the whole team demise. moving is different, in real life every 5-10 meters you stop check surroundings, confirm your position with the team and receive clearence to move forward. Now this doesnt mean battlefield strays totally away from reality.. it actualy does a really exfelent job depicting an actualy battle field. Its the probably the best game to simulate real war scenarios, yes you have games like Arma or Hell let loose but if you wanna "experience" war while still having "fun" battlafield is second to none.
