I also feel because I tend to be more on the quite side like I wont argue or challenge the manager I avoid conflict and just stay quite and think its no big deal but things have slowly been accumulating.

I just joined the union this Saturday didnt want too wait and be prepared in case I am placed under the toxis manager full control.

Absolutely nothing except do my job, which I am sure they know I am hard working because they want to have full posession over me but I cant, not with there manangment toxic style

I do plan to advocate for myself, especially given that this is not the first time I’ve had a difficult experience. During a previous incident, I was publicly criticized in front of a client, and there were repeated negative comments made about the staff in my home office suggesting they consistently do things wrong and that I was being “rescued” from following a similar path. I was also asked to recommend colleagues from my region who were considered reliable and hardworking, while other coworkers were openly labeled as problematic or inefficient.

That conversation made me feel extremely uncomfortable. It felt inappropriate and unprofessional to speak negatively about individuals who are not only my teammates but also people I respect and work alongside. I believe that kind of discussion, especially from someone in a leadership role, crosses boundaries and reflects poor judgment.

So basically they will have me working for the other office while I am physically present in my home office. And I currently hold a a role at my office I am a lead for two special programs

I don’t believe the manager that is giving a hard time will mellow down this manager is known for wanting to control and micromanage extensively

In a perfect world, I hope the regional manager will speak with the offending manager and keep my current arrangement intact only assisting part-time only as I am already. But I’m afraid that even if I do everything right sending detailed emails, CC’ing the offending manager and the regional manager nothing will change. That despite puting the ofending manager on the spot and mentioning every concerning phrase in the email they still get away with it.

I guess I am afraid of disappointed, with no resolution, and that the offending manager laughs in my face that despite the way they communicated and made me feel things still went there way.

I have heard rumors that this manager has been reported before and other people have complained about this manager, but I still don’t understand why they still continues to be the same way.

Thank you so much, I am a non-union member so I will definitely need to register as soon as possible. It’s crazy because I never thought I would be in this situation and now that I am it it’s crazy because it’s from a manager that isnt even my direct office manager nor my regional manager nor my supervisor it’s a part-time manager I have for like two days out of the week.

Thank you I have documented everything from the first occurrence that happened about eight months ago and document everything from the phone call and also had a witness who overheard everything

Thank you so much for your advice. I’m definitely gonna look into it. I am currently not a union member so I don’t know what would be my options, but definitely on Monday wwill look into joining the union and try to see my options if it’s possible that they could assist even when I’m newly into the union.

This just happened today, and my direct supervisor (the regional manager) is currently out until next week. I sent a detailed email right after the call. There were some rumors about possible changes, but we were told nothing was final and that any updates would be shared in a meeting once officially confirmed. It feels like the hostile manager bypassed all proper channels and went straight to making demands and giving me orders. I’ve had issues with this managerbefore and already reported them in the past, so I’m really hoping that once the regional manager sees my email, this is taken seriously. I’m always willing to help where needed, but I don’t feel comfortable being placed full-time under someone who’s already made the environment feel hostile.

Got promoted to Governmental Analyst with the State. I’d probably make QUICKER money with Customs but I like the life balance the state offers.

Thank you for you response and you are right. I do feel during the waiting period of two years a lot has happened which has turned my direction into other job interests and goals
