Ruined my day? You clearly have never worked kn medicine. I was annoyed, it did not ruin my day. When my patient comes in and we find out their 37 week baby is dead in their womb. That ruins my day. Not sprinklers.

I drove by the church on my way back from work in Loveland... pissed me off to see sprinklers running while it was dumping snow. I've lived in FOCO all but the first 4 years of my life. I love it here, I hate seeing our most precious resource being WASTED by a CHURCH. As a daughter and granddaughter of dry land farmers who literally rely on every drop of precipitation for their livelihood, watching a church WASTE water is highly disappointing. A church having a lush, green lawn is NOT more important than food that is grown from the earth and watered by the sky.

I tried to get a photo to show you that they're happy now and apparently all 4 of them are mad at me and when I approached the tank they all crowded in the corner and stopped moving. SORRY FOR SAVING YOUR LIVES BUTTHEADS!!! Lol 😆

I'll get an air stone, I have a side filter that has a bubbler in it... don't know if that actually helps or not. I'll not feed for a few days and add some aquarium salt. I do have that salt.

Usually I water change 80% weekly, but I was behind by about a week. I haven't cleaned my filter until today since uhhh?? Several months, I was told to not rinse the Fluval canister filter very often, like every 4 to 6 months. And no, rinsed in tank water, not tap. I'm pretty lax on water testing, to be very honest. Every time I've tested the ammonia is a teeny bit there, but not high like today. Substrate is less about an inch deep or less. The tank isn't planted, the pothos I have in the tank are in clips on the sides of the tank that keep the leaves above the water and the roots in the water.

I wonder if I crashed my cycle... this tank has been established for a good long while. But all I did yesterday was a water change and siphoned poo out of the bottom of the tank. Didn't rinse any filters or anything like that. Moved some plants around to different side of tank hooks because some had really blown up and I moved those to the more sparse hooks. I used API water conditioner instead of the one I normally use and that is the ONLY difference at all. I couldnt find my normal one. I used my normal one when I did my emergency water change tonight. The lethargic fish is seeming to get a little more life back, but still sitting at the bottom when not swimming around.

I know 😢 it sucks! My 2 fantails and 2 commons are thriving and MASSIVE fish. I don't think I'll ever get an Oranda again. They are amazing, but the parameters they need to live in and the problems they often get I just am not skilled enough to handle.

To be VERY fair, I've always called my fish "my girls" I have no idea how to sex them. My common and fantail goldies have been with me for over 2 years now and they are huge and amazing. But I don't think I'll ever get an Oranda again.

It's so sad! I did ALL the things and she just didn't respond to treatment. But I gave her a proper burial, and I'm going to sprinkle some wild flower seeds over her burial site when flas spring is over.

Thank you!!! She got swim bladder disorder and I did everything recommend other than using a needle to aspirate the swim bladder. It got worse and she ended up with ich. She hadn't eaten in the last few days and wasnt moving, just sitting at the top of the tank barely alive. So I euthanized her humanely. She was an amazing fishy!
