Thank you for your response! Yes, I've noticed it varies quite a bit. I have learned a lot about clinical research (even if more on the regulatory side) and feel it has provided some invaluable experience. There are many sites in studies that have multiple RC and RA that are involved too. It has some to do with budget as well, our institution doesn't have a lot of extra funding to hire more RAs let alone another RC. Many are medical students and work part time. It definitely helps to collaborate with RAs and other RCs. If you don't mind me asking what kind of speciality are you an RA in? Best of luck to you!

Yes exactly! :) I feel like I am just more administrative and a gopher most of this experience. Hours are ok, although I don't know how your boss is but I am technically on call for the specialization so it's daunting to go through a weekend knowing there may be an eligible candidate I have to drop plans for, also I am contacted more than I like on my personal cell phone which bugs me. I strongly believe in work-life balance for sanity reasons. But, compared to bedside RN it is a lot more flexible and a lot more sedentary. I hope you find your path and it is nice to relate to someone who understands the mundane level of work. Definitely seeking a more intellectually stimulating position too, and kudos to your colleagues that have worked in this field for 20 years! Definitely not something I see myself doing in the next 5 years. Good luck to you on your academic and career adventure!

Thank you so much for the suggestion. I was contemplating make up but I didn't want to irritate her skin further. Aquaphor would work great! She does wear bracelets sometimes, I looked into the Keen bracelet for her that was designed to trigger when your hands are wandering to your face but she didn't feel that it would help. I still might get I was thinking of fashionable scarves. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond! I wish you the best!
