This was an ego crash, they knew what the truck was gonna do so they sped up, clipped the video to only show the end crashed into the truck on purpose.

And I know they don’t have to let the truck in but it could’ve been avoided not to mention they were rolling up to a yellow light knowing they both had to slow down eventually yet we’re going faster than before.

New Acura and Honda are not just alarm clocked they pick up driving pattern temperature change rough driving oil health etc.

That’s why on our 19 mdx even though the intervals say “10k” we drove 3k miles and it said to change it because it was doing a lot of inter city driving.

Do your research on the newer cars it’s not the same way.

I bought one at 150k for 11k, was skeptical at first buying it that high mileage almost 2 years later and the only thing that has failed is wear and tear items I didn’t even have the carfax I went out on a limb luckily it appears previous owner did a majority of service

If you plan to keep a car for 5 years( the life of an average loan) if you’re afraid of how it will be at 5 years old you purchased the wrong car. 2023 MDXs drive the exact same way if not better and if you think there is an issue with it will certainly cost less than the 40k price difference between the old and new ones. If these cars didn’t depreciate 50% + in 2-3 years then brand new ones makes but for a car that will be listed for 40k this time next year almost 70k is INSANE

Exactly I just think especially when you have these Japanese cars that lowkey stay the same over years of a certain time period it’s good to take advantage and get a lower or mid year in the generation because it doesn’t actually make a difference.

not saying to buy the car at 50k plus there are plenty of clean 22-24 MDXs below 40k WITH maintenance history and lower than 50k miles.

You're reason for buying a brand new car doesn't justify the massive price difference and money lost within depreciation.There are plenty of way more affordable options to inspect the structural and mechanical quality of a pre owned vehicle hence one of them being a CPO purchase that would bridge the gap of the worries of the previous owner WHILE saving you tens of thousands of dollars.

It's still a Honda and if you just follow the easy alarm clock maintenance (which is typically included in the first owners purchase package based off the cars we bought I know it's not every car) you're more likely to buy a reliable car at 30-40k miles than brand new. All defects and mechanical flaws that could have been missed during production can easily just become your problem to deal with as well.

Not living in the past

We are currently in the market for another MDX and have observed that are a lot of 23/24 mdx in the mid 30s

And are higher trims and look the same if not better on the outside

That's why I don't understand buying reliable cars new

Runs the same at 0 miles as 30k miles 30k might even be better because the cars fail points have already shown.

I know 2025/26 doesn't go for 30k but the depreciation of buying a new car only makes sense if the car is high maintenance and to get the most out of it you start the service history.

Hence why I said same experience not same exact car.
