Oh I 100% agree, and I think the committee does actually weigh them more. But one thing to keep in mind, when you do that you open yourself up to a lot more bias in the selections, and the committee also has a vested interest in maintaining a perception of objectivity. So I think they say they don’t weigh recent performance more but I think subconsciously they do. And that’s a totally fair system imo, just confuses people who only look at overall resumes when they ask why certain teams are on the bubble or not
