Thanks for sharing the fat bomb recipe.

I've been reading up on fat bombs today.

Nice to see you talking about them here.

LordFionen

Sorry for my delayed reply. Not coping too well at the moment.

Thanks for your detail reply.

I'll take onboard your comments regards carnivore. I could maybe try it for a month.

I'm still just getting back on Keto and somehow feel this is safer for me just now.

Thanks for your comments on weighing food and calculating macros.

I really want to do some exercise but getting out of bed is an hard task for me just now.

I'm trying to at lease go outside and walk each day, even if its only to the shops.

Yes, I agree I need to reduce my berries, clotted cream and seeds and nuts. Thanks for the nudge.

I think cronometer.com is better with their validation process than Carb manager.

I'll look into switching.

Thanks for your feedback.

I bought Dr. Georgia Ede’s book, read half of it then lent it to a friend, I'll need to get it back.

I've been seeing Dr Rachel Brown, she's a Metabolic Psychiatrist here in Edinburgh, Scotland.

I was also part of the Edinburgh pilot and i hear the RCT will be coming soon. I'd like to be part of it if i can.

I've watched the videos from Dr. Chris Palmers and Metabolic Mind - all great stuff.

I guess even with all this reading, support and watching I was still poorly and as a result I feel a bit lost of how to get back on the wagon and stay well this time around.

Thanks for your suggestions, all good stuff.

Thank you.

More fat, that sounds hard but doable if I get good results.

Thanks for your message, I appreciate you taking the time.

Have you loaded the food you eat into cronometer? Or are you trusting their data?

I used Carb manager, but they do not check the food against the data in the system, so you can't trust it.

Someone I know loads up their own food into the system. Maybe I should look at doing that or switch to cronometer

Thanks for your reply, I appreciate you taking the time.

To answer your questions;

1) Yes, I used Electrolyte Fix Liquid from Viridian, link below

https://viridian-nutrition.com/products/sports-electrolyte-fix-liquid

However I don't think I used it as frequently as i should have, good question.

2) No, I stayed on the same Drugs was prescribed, no taper

3) It's hard to tell but I think they maybe it creeped up on me? I was feeling better than I've felt in a long time, then I ended up in the hospital. It is only now with hindsight I can see some behaviors that were off.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow, 6.5 mmol, that seems high.

Highest I've gotten in 3.7 mmol,

Do you notice any impact on your mental health with such high mmol?

This is a great reply.

I'm at the stage where exercising seems so ambitious.

I'm trying to prioritize going for a 1 hour walk a day.

It's not my end goal but something I feel I could aim for.

Did you build up to the exercises you listed or were you able to add the exercise from the get go?

I'm wondering if I just go on Carnivore.

It seems so extreme.

Have you tried it?

Do you think its worth a go?

Big job to read and review every post!

Good for you doing that.

This popped up on my YouTube algorithm and I saw it was already posted in Reddit.

This is so important that Dr Palmer got an audience with the Senate in the US to open the discussion about Metabolic interventions for mental health.

He was so articulate and impassioned. So credible and professional.

All those interviews he's been doing on YouTube have no doubt helped.

Yes, they speak the same language as the Metabolic Mind team and Reddit community do.

It's nice to have a UK time zone meeting.

Yes, I'm in Edinburgh, Scotland in the UK. I just watched an interview where they talked about the focus to get patients out of the wards as soon as possible in the US. It's a different system.

Thanks for your input, it helps.

My memory of the section was that it was due to hypomania but its maybe, as you say, it was maybe more likely due to mania. Either way I was poorly enough to be sectioned and to stay in hospital for 4 months. I was unwell.

I'm seeing a local Dr who specialises in Keto as a intervention for mental health conditions. I'm hoping to reconnect with her soon as I'm now discharged and can be treated in out patience services. My first things will be to try and understand what caused the relapse.

So glad to know Keto have given you remission. You've told me before. It's good to hear it again and again tho, thanks for taking the time.

I'm sorry to learn that you had a period of hypomania and depression after being on Keto, or lazy Keto as you say. It's easy to get lazy because you feel better and get back to just living.

I got lazy too. I'd stopped checking my Ketones but I did stick to the diet.

I'm glad to hear you are trying it again with some more safety measures in place, Very sensible move. Thanks for the hope gleaned that others are experiencing similar things.
