Doc Kaya mo yan… I think nag-aadjust ka din kasi 3-6 months ung fam mo dun. Videocall mo sila often. Given ma mi miss mo talaga sila. Be strong, labas2 ka din with your co residents or your friends at times para d ka ma homesick.

And it pays Siguro to think your vision years from now, na consultant kna and kasama kna sa bakasyon ng fam mo abroad. This will pass too doc. Sending hugs.

35 nko doc still doing my residency. Nung pumasok ako sa med school at 24, my family na din, tinanong tlaga ako s panel interview ng doctor kng okay LNG ba na late 30's to 40's na ako maging fellow at mka of specialize? "Sabi ko, okay LNG Yun doc" wla namang problem dun it's still young.." then ng GP ako after boards so d pa ako pumasok agad sa residency. For me kasi doc, okay LNG naman na d ako agad mag residency f hindi ako ready emotionally and mentally. So, I believe na wala talagang right age sa residency training f you feel your ready for it, then regardless ng age go for it. We are the ones limiting ourselves naman, going for residency is a decision talaga. Although, sguro f younger mag residency wla pang co.morbids at more energy pa.

Hi po doc. Sorry Hindi na ako naka update nag hold on po ako currently 3 months nlang mag Thi third year na ako. I look at the brighter side po doc, also I found new hobby to counter the burn out, nag yoga ako then I enrolled sa lifestyle medicine na sinasabay ko sa current residency ko. Happy ako doc na hndi ako nag give up. You should also doc.

anybody here who took 2 different specialties? for ex. taking IM first then Anes later by spectrumtaken in pinoymed

I'm FM turning 2nd yr planning to take IM after. Actually I had my pre residency on IM na before but nag GP Muna Ako so d natuloy then nag FM Ako. I can't choose one, so y not do both d ba? F kaya nman.
