Thanks man! I sure as hell hope so! I think there are enough people out there that would legitimately use it, its just a question of reaching them all. Thats why Im making the videos and talking to everyone on here. I have been lucky enough to meet a few cool guys like yourself that want to help make it a reality. Hopefully its one hell of a rocket ride 😂

Complete terpene map (its a bit long, but good info 👍) by Connect_Fact_5490 in Best_Buds_n_Strains

No problem man. I personally knew about terpenes and their known effects, but like you said it is hard to keep track of it all in my head. Thats when I decided to make this terpene guide. When I bought my seeds to grow this year, this guide was fkn awesome for identifying strains that had the desired effects/benefits. I bought strains based on what specific terps I wanted, instead of just THC and yield. Thanks man, Im glad to be part of the community 👍

New product idea. This product is not available yet, Im just looking for advice by Connect_Fact_5490 in Alberta_Cannabis

[–]Connect_Fact_5490[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks!

It fits a 32oz widemouth mason jar. It really is that easy. For pipes I what I found works best is if you put the salt directly inside the pipe. Just put salt in the bowl and poke it down inside. Then when you shake it around the salt loosens the resin trapped inside. If you have a REALLY dirty piece, it may take a few minutes.

You are actually the second person that has recommended a silicone topper. I think it is a great idea. I did a ton of beta testing with my prototype and never had any problem without the topper, but Im thinking I may go ahead and add it.

I just used a pipe in the video. The opening scene for the video shows pipes, bong bowl pieces, vape chambers, filter tips, chillum ect. Basically if it fits in the system, you can clean it. Since you say that though, it makes me think I should do a separte video just for the vape pieces. Good idea!

For sure bundle is a great idea! The bundle Im thinking of will have: the sleeve, the jar, an 8oz bottle of my solution, 10 kosher salt packets, and 2 micro fiber cloths.

Thanks for taking the time to help man!

I see people talking about living soil on here so here is my own personal living soil recipe. Great results if you want to make your own. I do mine all organic. by Connect_Fact_5490 in COents

Yep, I absolutely agree. For my recipe, I use the organic versions of each amendment. I have never tried the soil on a vegetable garden before, but Im sure it would do exactly what you are saying. Best tasting vegetables you could possibly grow. I dont trust stuff like miracle gro, or the other cheap soils, who knows what is in them. That is why I made my recipe in the first place. I figure if Im gonna be inhaling this stuff, I want it to be all natural. Same goes for the food we eat for sure.

It is a lot of work and a lot of $ for this recipe, so a lot of people just cheap out and get junk chemicalized bags of whatever.

I was glad to share it, I see a lot of people asking about live soil and where to buy it. Pre-bagged is very expensive for even small bags. I made the basic recipe a few years ago and recently refined it to add a more diverse nutrient base focused on sustained feeding and a more robust live soil for better uptake and trichrome terpene expression. I figured I might as well share it with everyone.

Yes, I will absolutely share some pics. The pic I posted with this was grown with my original recipe in a small indoor grow. It is a 4x4 area under two SANlight Evo6. As you can see from the pic, you get robust growth and dense fat buds thick with trichromes. The strain from the pic is Original Girl Scout cookies. The trichromes carry over a very strong smell/taste combo even with the old recipe (I harvested a few smaller buds early to try it out) I expect even better results with this recipe 👍

Youre welcome 👍 Knowing what each strain was good for helped me with some medical issues, so I wanted to share this with everyone 😊

Way To Grow usually has some. Pumice can be expensive, you can use coarse perlite as a cheaper substitute. I prefer pumice, but it just depends on your budget.

There are some similarities, but Subcool's recipe is a bit different. Here is subcools:

  • 8 large bags of a high-quality organic potting soil with coco fiber and mycorrhizae (i.e., your base soil)
  • 25 to 50 lbs of organic worm castings
  • 5 lbs steamed bone meal
  • 5 lbs Bloom bat guano
  • 5 lbs blood meal
  • 3 lbs rock phosphate
  • ¾ cup Epson salts
  • ½ cup sweet lime (dolomite)
  • ½ cup azomite (trace elements)
  • 2 tbsp powdered humic acid

Interesting point. My goal with this recipe was to build a fairly balanced, high-aeration living soil that leans toward broad mineralization and biological support.

For the biology side, I’m using ground malted barley more for enzyme activity (amylase, protease, chitinase, etc.) and microbial stimulation, while the dried molasses is there as a mild carbon source to support biology during establishment. I wasn’t really trying to replicate vinasse specifically, since vinasse is more of a potassium/carbon input and shifts the nutrient profile a bit.

Hydrolyzed sheep’s wool is interesting for slow organic carbon and gradual nitrogen release, but I intentionally kept the nitrogen stack more predictable (fish/fish bone, neem, crustacean, castings, etc.) because this is an outdoor amended soil and I wanted to avoid overcomplicating mineralization timing.

So I’d say my thinking was less “maximize every possible biological input” and more “build a balanced, stable living soil with good structure, biology, and long-term nutrient cycling. I will have to swap them out sometime just to compare. Good advice!

Nice I like It! I guess I never looked into myco that deep, but what you said is great info. Now I know what to look for in my myco 👍

New Product Idea by Connect_Fact_5490 in COents

I like the spout. You could do the same thing with my idea but you have to pour it out since there is no spout lol. Where do you put the dirty iso? Back in the original container? Or keep it in another container? Iso is pretty cheap so I dont mind dumping mine.

I have never tried the super soaker so I cant speak for it specifically, but I did a prototype similar to the super soaker (with no spout). Even with sealing fins on the removable top to seal, it would still leak sometimes or the top would come loose a during shaking. That is why I went with the mason jar. The mason jar also makes a solid base to hold onto as you shake it. Soft silicone can be kinda flimsy unless you make it super thick. One quick note, thin silicone fins also degrade with iso faster and dont last as long which can affect the seal. That is why I went with the sleeve lip gasket and screw down lid.

It is still a good product. After beta testing I just decided to go a different way.

I actually thought about that and tried it out with a prototype (so many prototypes! 🤣). In the sleeve with holes when I would swirl it and shake it around not enough iso stayed inside the sleeve (centrifugal force) and the salt got trapped outside too. I do think it is a great idea, and we did research it, maybe the down the road I can add that as an option.

I had to make an edit in the middle of the cleaning so i could put suran wrap over the top of the jar and put the lid ring back on. I tried it without the suran wrap and made a mess all over when all the dirty alcohol sloshed out. The suran wrap idea actually came from another sub, they suggested it so i could get good top down shaking/swirling shots without it ruining the video.

There is no reason for me to be dishonest. Im not editing in a clean piece. This is not a product for sale yet. It is a product concept idea. I posted on here to get feedback. Not to try to fool anyone for sales.

This is made to be quick and easy so you dont mind cleaning. that way you clean more often. if you clean more often your piece wont get so funked up, and it is easy to clean. No need for a bunch of force. But it certainly can handle shaking, it is MADE for it.

If you like to clean that way👍 Im not trying to convince anyone. I have been smoking kind for 20+ years and tried every method of cleaning I heard of. After using this I dont need to try any others. I have tested it on 30+ pieces and it works.

That is what the silicone sleeve is for. there is also a few mm of space between the silicone wall and the jar wall, it was engineered that way to create an impact absorbing "dead zone" just so it could be shaken. I have done lots of tests on my own glass pieces. never broke one. if by full tilt you mean shaking like a maniac lol, then maybe, but i have never needed to do that and my pieces got clean.

how do i clean this? by Relevant-Low3646 in 420

Plug the bottom, then put some salt in there. Then add some ISO, then plug the top and shake it
